I'll start the scary story off, and you continue it! Just pick up wherever the story is left off by the person who posted before you, and make it scary! There's no limit to the number of words you can post.

It was Halloween night, and Max was waiting for her friends to show up so they could go trick-or-treating. They were supposed to meet her on the corner under the streetlight, but they were late. She adjusted her cape over her shoulders and marched impatiently down the sidewalk. She planned to meet them halfway. She was distracted, however, by a scream from somewhere in the growing darkness. She suddenly realized that she was right in front of the creepy old abandoned house that no one in her neighborhood would go near. The scream must have come from inside it. She was about to back away when another noise came from the shadows directly behind her, startling her. She turned to see what caused it, and...

...Max was greeted by a pair of glowing golden eyes. Those eyes seemed to make her breath to scared to come out. Then a growl slowly rises from the shadow. Another pair of eyes seemed to appear in the shadows these like small glowing pools of blood. Max is eye level with these blood stained eyes a chuckle drifts from the shadow around her. "Poor little goblin." Those eyes shifted moving towards the girl. Slowly the shadows began to drip back as if unwilling to reveal....

...the tall man behind them. He was dressed in a very old style of clothing. His red eyes gleaming in the moonlight looked as though they were calling to her. Then he spoke in a soft, calming voice...

...in a language she had never heard before. But she somehow knew that he wanted her to follow him. He slowly walked toward the front porch of the creepy old house, and she followed him. She could feel the eyes in the shadows watching her, and she heard low chittering sounds in the bushes. At the porch, the tall man paused and held one hand out to indicate that she should step inside first. She saw him holding something in that hand that glinted in a ray of moonlight. It was...

...a strange circular medalion with markings on it that she didn't recognize. As she looked harder at it, the man suddenly hid it from her view and beckoned her to come forward with more urgency. She began to step forward, unable to stop her feet from moving. She kept getting closer and closer to the door where the strange man was standing. Approaching the man, she noticed that he was grinning at her in the most disturbing way she had ever seen, and just as she was about to step through the doorway...
