Appearance:
Personality: A sweet, somewhat spunky but overall quiet girl, with occasional rebelion and curtness in her tone. However contented she may seem, her eyes show a different story. She's very experimental which leads to more than a few occasional flukes. A bit nerdy and overly dramatic at times, but she tries to keep on the high of life. She's harmless but very eager. She often finds herself being the 'odd one out' and doesn't like seeing it as a bad thing though it tends to lead that way.
Powers/Abilities: Insight: She can see the inside of someone's heart when they're saying a statement.
Focuse (sonar): An ability useful in the dark mostly. She can usually sense her surroundings and use them to pinpoint herself or when she's about to trip/fall. It can also make one loose focus and/or pass through mental blocks. It can also send signals to bounce off the area- when she gets emotional.
Weaknesses/Disabilities: Her insight is limited as the translation can be restricted by feelings, if they fight back. This saying that when she activates it she in turns feels the emotion going through the person she's reading's thoughts as if it were her own. This can be hard to pull out of and can make her act for a moment unlike herself.
Her focus tends to have limits in range and depending on the place, and can leave both her and the victim unbalanced lightheaded. Her hearing tends to be quite sensitive due to it as well as her eyesight.
In the end, she feels more controlled by people than anything when it comes to her abilities.
Likes: To be rough, on the playful side. To be witty and spontaneous, but in a good way. She likes to show he creativity and express her thoughts and opinion. She often can be seen, reading, writing or drawing. She also enjoys poetry. She tries to focus her energies as to not exceed her use by doing various exercises. She also has a love for animals and the outdoors.
Dislikes: Being forced to do anything against her will. Feeling weak or showing weakness. She also doesn't like being constricted from doing what's right or feeling useless in a time of emergency. She tends to get a bit angry for it.
Background/History: As a kid, she adapted the nickname "Corey" when she tried to act as 'one of the guys' with her once older brother. She seems quiet about anything personal and tends to make outbursts. As if incapable of disfiguring what's implied when it comes to the past. She remembers her family, or parts of it, but most of it she's tried to block away, due to some less than fond memories, leading to a time where she had to forget about them. Now at the Orphanage, only dreams remind her. How? Is something she can't understand. So far however, the most she can say is she's herself. Not so interesting, huh?
Other: Shannon enjoys music and often hums or sings softly to herself without noticing.
