Let's have a look at the life of one the our nation's most influencial modern poets: Clarissa Edwards.
In her lifetime [1952- present] she's been ranked as New York Times' "Top Poet in Fiction" four times.
Medication, a short four-liner on the consumption of enphetamine (a popular medicine given to women inthe fifties, also known as SPEED).
Void, a two-hundred page poem on dreams.
The Abyss, a three page long on fire and chaos.
Ms. Edwards's voice as a youth in society was cut silent when a drunk driver put his truck through her bedroom wall and onto her skull.
She's not bitter about it though, she told me that herself.
She does more good now than she did when she was awake.
Morphine.
Asprin.
Speed.
LSD.
Ecstacy.
Crush them together and you have a "Waker", she taught me that.
I'm not sure how it works, and I'm not sure how she fell upon this information.
I took one once, in a dream.
Three weeks later I decided to write this book.
