T.here is a school in the Himalayas called Côté Sombre were beasts of lore attend. It is the only school like such in the world, for these beats have either gone extinct, or there are very few of them. But when a child born with beast blood reaches puberty, the Seekers of the school come to them, and take them forcibly to the school. Now, like schools in the olden days, this school would separate the races, no class having mixed species, aside from the class for the races that are of the most miniscule numbers, only a single few left. They resided in different dorms, and were always separate. That is, until the Council of Unnatural Beings came down with a law for this school. Classes were to be mixed.
The majorities, which were Werewolves and Vampires, were angry. They were opposite poles. And what was worse was that dorms were reassigned. No student was put with a student of the same race.
    What a catastrophe!

[S.etting//|Other In.fo|]

A.s mentioned, Côté Sombre is a large school. Located deep in the mountains, the council upkeep a false environment, which different regions. There consist of the Snowy region, Desert, Forest, Jungle, Plains, and Mountainous regions. Each species had its own classroom, ove teach, over dorm section. It's all mixed up now, and more like a normal highschool. Though, all the students of a certain year have the same class at the same time, but in different classrooms. There are five classrooms for each year.

All the classrooms look the same, except for Science takes place in a lab of some sorts, gym takes place outside, and dueling class takes place outside as well, but only in the mountainous region.

The current time-frame is the day after the first day of school, first period.

First years are currently in math class. The lesson is basic multiplication and division review.
Second years are currently in science class. The lesson is identifying poisonous plants for different species.
Third years are currently in gym class. The lesson is hide-and-seek. Any player caught sits out.
Fourth years are currently in language class. The lesson is writing in cryptic codes.
Fifth years are currently in dueling class. The lesson is paralyzing your opponent using sound. Certain pitches of howls and screeches can stun your opponent momentarily.

All the students in the school so far have already been assigned dorms.

The weather is currently cloudy and looking gloomy.

    The races include:

    -Werewolf
    -Vampire

    -Gorgon
    -Naga
    -Harpie
    -Garuda

    -Ghoul
    -Banshee
    -Chimera
    -Mummy//Zombie
    -Jinee

Crimson - There are a lot more students of these races.
Darkblue - There are a fair amount of students of these races.
Brown - There is a low number of students of these races.

[R-ules.||Regulations]

    - About each day, we'll move onto the next period. There are only four periods in a school day if you include lunch, for classes are long.

    - Teachers aren't always teaching. Often you'll see them floating around with some coffee and paperwork.

    - I realize people have different ideas of werewolves and the like. Doesn't matter. All of them can be different, but don't go to over the top. (i.e. one werewolf might be able to change into those ficticous body-builder type human wolves you see in the movies nowadays, while another werewolf might only turn into a normal wolf.)

    - Seekers aren't Quittich players. They are staff or senior students that have been given the ability to sense when the blood of a mythical beast has stirred in a child that has just hit puberty. The job of the Seekers is to find these children and bring them to the school, using a sort of teleportation method of travel, of course.

    - Any teacher slot not taken will become NPCs until a teacher is found. If the person playing the teacher for your class is missing for whatever reason, a substitute NPC comes in. Refer to the lesson your class is learning and try to continue on without them.

    - Teachers aren't needed as much as students right now. So let's fill up those student slots! : D

    - Don't feel the need to make your posts match mine. I a maniac and like to type. A lot. xD

    - If you have any questions, ask me, Ho-ranchu

Face in a constant snarl. Huge muscels. Rsembles the prehistoric birds Dromornithids and Gastornis, minus the long necks.|
    |.[Doesn't get annoyed very easy. He isn't exactly quiet, but doesn't like to converse with other males, the exception being if they're a garuda. Dislike almost all other males, perhaps for territorial reasons. Tries to be nice to all girls, but isn't interestedin a relationship. Being a Seeker, he is absent from school ever so often. Unlike most garuda, he can't fly, since he has no wings, but he has never wished to.].|
    |.[He began growing at an alarming rate around puberty. But what shocked his friends more was that his face was getting much longer and his skin was turning black. He was homeless, so he had no parents to be shocked about his appearance. So he stayed in the park at the city he was in, watching day by day as he drew oddly. It took a while for a Seeker to find him, and he went willingly. His goal was to become a seeker himself, and that's what he did. Now, with no goals left, he actually focuses on his marks a little more.].|
    |.[Has the unability of being able to fly. No wings. Besides that, he can crush almost anyone's head like a walnut with either his enormus hands, feet, or beak. Fear the beak.].|

Usually has a white dress with green and yellow stains on it and tears at the edges. Always looks liek she just came out of a swamp. No shoes.].|
    |.[Quiet. Ignores everyone and everything. She gets mad easy, but locks it inside. Later in the night, one can here her bloodcurtling wails from the outside. She tends to be slow, but remembers a lot of things said to her. Dislikes other girls. ].|
    |.[Her skin started turning green when she was turning eleven. A week after her birthday, her blonde hair had turned black, her green eyes going black as well. All her white dresses wound up dirty as soona s she put them on. Two weeks after her birthday, a Seeker came and took her to the school, where she found out soon that she could wail. She wailed for a day, before accepting the truth, shutting herself away from everyone during lunch and when classes were over. She used to powder her skin to make it look normal, but stopped soon after. Being a minority race, she was singled out, having virtually no friends. She wasn't miserable, though, and entertained herself by exploring the forest region of the outside, finding a small pond. It is now her favorite place to go.].|
    |.[A full-grown banshee of her type can wail in a way that it would kill someone. Currently she can only knock out someone if they're right beside her, and stun them if they're within three metres of her.].|

    |.[Ho-ranchu].|

    |.[Quite strict and demanding. He does his best to give contructive critism, but it always come out wrong. He doesn't like being outside on hot or sunny days, since albinos easily burn. He has a pet-peeve for bad posture, but knows when it is important to have good posture and when to have bad posture.].|
    |.[Used to be quite the troublemaker in his student days. He completely changed in his fifth year, though, and became a responsible Seeker. Despite all the trouble he caused, he always had good marks, and the things he did were trivial. Being a ghoul, it wasn't a surprise he did such things. He learned to control his ghoul impulses with the former principal, who had also been a ghoul.].|
    |.[Like ghouls of his type, Mr. John Tabor can shapeshift into animals. Usually a ghoul's favorite form is that of a hyena, but his favorite form is a badger. some students joke that this is because he likes 'badgering' people.].|

.|September First//Period One//Gloomy|.
.|Tadelesh|.

First period. Duelling class. Not exactly the best class, but not the worst either. Garuda didn't usually like duelling class, since they didn't have as many abilities as the other races, excluding flying, but Tadelesh didn't do too bad. Sure, he wasn't too good with the most of the lessons, like speed duelling (just a fancy name for racing). But he was the best with no-abilities, hand-to-hand combat lessons. He remembered in his first year, when everyone was scared because they were around unfamiliar people with unfamiliar abilities in an unfamiliar setting. There was only about one person who fought him. It had been a chimera that was also rather buff, so it had been a good match. He'd been fought more since then.

But today it was a screeching lesson, as he called it. The school had been formed years ago, by all the races currently in the school. Banshees and gorgons had created duelling class, for they could paralyse or kill with their screeches and death glares. Tadelesh had no idea why they would want other gorgons and banshees to practice such skills, but he of course had no say with it.

So there he was, outside in the plains region, the grass still moist with dew. There were a few fifth years already at the designated spot, waiting for the rest with their teacher. It was a substitute, Tadelesh could tell. A Jinee, too, as evident by her wings, facial and torso markings as well as her clothes. Jinees could specialize in almost all classes, and could teach any race. Jack of all trades; master of none. Well, except for maybe abilities. Definitely not one to mess with.

His huge, rosy feet trudged onward, but he stopped a little ways from the rest of the group, looking up at the sky. He could here the Jinee start to explain the lesson, but he wasn't interested. He knew he wouldn't do well. He clicked his beak lightly, the tusks at the back of his lower beak making his jaw feel stiff. Tadelesh was one of the youngest fifth years, but he didn't mind. Most people thought he was older just because he was bigger. He also had a rather deep voice, and other things that hid his youthfulness. To him, it was hard to believe that this would be his last year at Côté Sombre. He had lived in the dorms all year every year; where would he go once he was done? Perhaps he would become a student teacher, and teach gym class. It was definitely an option. One thing was for sure; with his monstrous appearance, he couldn't join the world of humans. He remembered in science last year that he had learned about some sort of root that could change your appearance to what you would've looked like if you weren't monstrous, but it only lasted so long, and it was hard to find. He would have to soon leave the humans unless he stocked up enough for a year, which would take at least a few more years to collect. No; it was too risky.

So I'll be a student teacher. he concluded. That would be his new goal for now. His old one had been to become a Seeker; and now he was one. Goal completed, and no goal left. But now he had one. He hadn't been given much time to think about his future during summer break, for lots of children reaching puberty with beast blood in them had popped up, keeping Seekers busy. 'Teleporting' using a potion the school kept hidden took the energy right out of you, so you could only get one person every few days. The summer had whizzed by, for because of being a Seeker, Tadelesh would sleep for a few days straight after retrieving a new student, before setting off again. Food wasn't a problem; the potion ingested kept one's belly full for the few days of sleep and the few hours of seeking.

But now his belly rumbled, having skipped out on half his breakfast. He would be eating a lot during lunch, he knew. Hopefully his stomach wouldn't keep him from doing worse than he already would in class... but now, the classes were more mixed than before. He'd be fighting vampire and werewolves too, not just garuda and harpies.
He remembered the classes used to be vampires and werewolves by themselves, garuda and harpies mixed for one class, naga and gorgon mixed for another, and the other races making up a bunch of smaller classes. It was unfamiliar to him to see werewolves and vampires so close together, snarling at each other more than usual.

Things weren't going to be pleasant this year.

.|Mimosa|.

Being a third year sucked. You had two years below you, and two years above you. That meant two years of nagging littlies, and two years of stupid bullies. Usually people thought of that as balance, but Mimosa would rather have no years ahead of behind her. Why couldn't she just stay in her dorm forever?
That's what she would usually do; skip class and stay in her dorm. But she needed good marks so that she could get out of the school sooner. The sooner she did that, the sooner she could be alone.

It was a class she'd be good in, too. She, like most of the students who had already been there a few years, had figured out what lessons they would be having ahead of time. Hide-and-seek was today's for gym. It sounded childish, but when everyone had frightening abilities, the instinct of fear was drilled into you, either freezing you in your hiding place, or make you run away the whole time. She was the type that stayed calm and changed hiding spots every so often. It looked like they would be having class in the mountainous region, too, for the group of third years and their teacher were heading there. She had heard that most of the normal teachers weren't teaching today, so she wondered what kind of substitute they'd get. But it was only a vague wonder, for she was trying to think of hiding spots she knew in that region.
Which was why she was shocked when she hear Mr. Tabor's voice.

"Good morning class. I will be taking over today's lesson, but the lesson will remain the same."

When Mimosa stood on her tippy-toes to try to see Mr. Tabor, she could not. After all, he was a shape-shifting ghoul, and liked to take the form a short little European badger. But soon, he extended to his full height, wrinkles around his eyes thickening as he looked over the students, his hands behind his back. He pulled out his signature pcoket watch, eyeing the time before snapping it shut with his broad, white hand.

"You all know me. Mr. Jonathan Tabor, principle of Côté Sombre. I know all of you, and I expect you to do well for this lesson. For those of you that don't know, think of hide-and-seek. All of you will hide within this region, doing your best not to get caught. I will seek you out. If you are caught, you return to this spot. If anyone is still uncaught by the time the bell rings, they will earn top marks."

Mimosa could help but roll her black eyes. Mr. Tabor's voice was so dull and boring, and he was too straight-to-the-point. He made it sound like they would die if he caught them. But, nevertheless, she let her green feet carry her away from the albino ghoul when she heard him shout "I will give you two minutes for a head start; go!"

Scattered like mice, everyone ran, while the garuda and harpies flew. She scowled, disliking it when other flew. It made them look so...free. But still, she let her feet carry her over the sharp rocks, over the mud and down a steep slow, skidding to a stop near a pond. Making sure no one was watching, she dove down into the pond, swimming with her eyes wide open. It was hard to see, but eventually she found what she was looking for, and surfaced.

Her lungs inhaled deeply, her hair becoming swampier than it naturally was. But instead of her lungs filling with fresh air, cave-air filled her lungs, for she had reached her hidden cavern by the pond, the only way to get in being the water.

Mimosa shivered as she pulled herself out, flattening herself agains a shadowed edge in the cave wall. If Mr. Tabor came in, she could sneak behind him and exit through the entrance, and perhaps keep away longer. She hugged her knees to her cheek, trying not to think about the fact the school was now mixed, and that she'd have the face the nasty looks of the other races even more. She hated those looks; remembering them caused her to wail louder whenever she did. She didn't like being a banshee. At least, not a swampy one. In the classes that had been made up of minorities, she had seen a banshee that was the most beautiful she had ever seen. She even looked human! She couldn't remember, but sometime happened to that banshee, and she was forced to leave. Rumour spread that she had only a small trace of banshee blood, and was sent back, for she hadn't inherited any banshee abilities.

Lucky girl... she thought bitterly, staring into the darkness with the laps of the pond water to keep her company.
