tha't snot what i know of.
it was when the norse conquered england and the pagans were there and they mixed cultures, hence the pine tree, do you think there was a pine tree in the middle east?
and gargoyles on churches? same thing
it's just a mixture of cultures

But The Christmas Tree started in Germany.
In the 6th century.
It was placed there as symbols for the Nativity Scene.

But On a side note.
I want an aluminum tree next year.
