Hi All
I'm a former Moslem. I'm very grateful that i live in indonesia, a country that have a lot of moslems, but not a religion based country. This make my life easier. You know how fanatics moslems are. Well i just wanna know your thoughts about Islam, especially if you are a former moslem too like me. Please post your thoughts, it only take a minute. Let me know how you think.

Hmm, I don't care at all for the 'Jihad' (Holy War) concept in Islamic Religion.

I don't really think about it all that much, I usually only consider religions when they're a problem for me, and Islam rarely is.

What made you decide to quit being a Muslim?

What made you decide to quit being a Muslim?

Perhaps my logic. I think i was always going to do crazy things based my fundamentalist mind. But the reality in my community is secular and peaceful without the needs of religion at all. like friendship, etc

I think i’ll still get willing to “die” if i still become a moslem. Heck,
this made me saw other religions as stupid and dont deserve to be my friend.

If i'm looking to the holy scritures and hadits, there are so many illogical claims. While i'm a major in mathematics.

I’d concur with my logic than my superstitious (an evolutionary mechanism?).

But I don’t think that all discussion of the merits of atheism or the
atheist arguements against religion are direct conversion attempts on
committed believers.

I think they’re attempts to convince fence-sitters, bet-hedgers,
maybe-yes-maybe-noers, people going through a re-assesment process,
seekers, etc.

I think that by and large they are attempts to get people who don’t
believe but don’t think about this stuff much to take an active step
and consider what they believe.

And i read carl sagan's books too.

Thank you for asking

Heck evangelicals use " Gods warriors" all the time.

The more I learn about Islam the more I dislike it. From what I've read, the Koran is pretty much like the Bible, but a little more violent and sexist.
