When 'no' isn't enough

What do you do when no isn't enough?

In my own situation...I am confronted by a boy who won't take 'no' for an answer and in his opinion, friendship isn't good enough.

It's not to the point of anything truly awful. The whole thing just makes me rather uncomfortable.

I followed my own advice first, which was being honest with him, even if it wasn't what he wanted to hear. Which led to me telling him that I only wished to be his friend. Which he said was nothing and he still had a few weeks to steal my heart. (Yes..those were his words exactly) u.u;;

He doesn't see that he won't be stealing my heart...ever.

What makes it worse, is that we work in the same place...so that's when the pressure is worst. I'm putting my two weeks notice in soon enough, because I'm tired of waiting tables but it's partly because of him too. And I hope that the distance will put a stop to everything.

What makes it all the more retarded..is that this reminds me so much of highschool drama. But we're college students. -____-;;

So what do I do when 'no' isn't enough?

That is like a high-school drama...
I was in that situation before, kind of...this guy obviously doesn't want to accept you don't have feelings for him, my advice to you is just avoid him, don't talk to him at all unless neccessary, guys like him take any gesture that you make towards them as a sign you like them or something. He really should be getting the message if you avoid him, but if needs be, just be a complete and total cold-hearted cow to the guy and then he mightn't be so darn infatuated and unrelenting.

I'm sorry if this advice sucks, because I never followed it myself (guy eventually manipulated me in to going out with him...gah.)

The guy needs to learn his place.

He should wise up if not just go out with him and dump him in like a week.

But I really don't want to hurt him.

Perhaps there is no way around that though.

Well you may have to hurt him as a last resort, if telling him nicely just fails repeatedly to give him the message.

or, you could introduce him to a friend? If you have a friend that's single and lonely, that is..

Just tell him exactly how you feel.That you don't like him like that.If really does like you then he should respect your feelings and back off 3nodding .

I'd love for it to go no where near that far.

Besides..the manager..or the owner..would be his grandparents (it's one of those small-ish locally owned joints)

So it's kinda biased on that front.

Anyway...I've been filling out job apps like crazy. So. Another job is on the horizon. =D
