Oh good lord. Its common sense, people. A lottery is where names or numbers are picked at random. You buy multiple tickets to increase your chances of winning.

For example:
If there are 10 tickets bought, that means there are 10 chances to win. If you bought 3 of the those 10 tickets, you have a 30% chance to win the first prize.

Make sense?
