Lifetimes of wonder
Eras of praise
The time has come to bow down.
We leave our blessings,
We leave our power
And humbly we fall to our knees and praise.
Praise to the king
On the highest exalted rock he stands
He stands before us
Powerless are we.
He gives the mercy the gift of the king,
He lets us walk,
Among the earth,
And in the grace of his father we stay.
We stay and praise him
Praises for what he has done.
Lifetimes of wishes
Timeless ends
Wishes on that highest star
Shown one night in Bethlehem
To those the few
Who believed enough
To set aside their hopes and follow that one lonely star
And that star leads them to the land
Where he lay waiting to receive the gifts we give each day.
This is what I say
And even as the darkest hour approaches us,
I will march on ward into the night.
What a holy sight it was on the quite eve
For someone so world changing to be born.
But it happened that way
We know no other way
And that’s how we believe it
Lifetimes of wonder
Stuck in our head
Questions needing answers from him.
We send messages
We send prayers
We send our hope to the promise land.
And each day
With renewed promises we fall
Down
Stuck to the ground
We lift our voices
To the one
The one we praise on high
The one always by our side
Giving our hope
Compassion and love
Without him we would be sin-full everyday
Stuck in hell
With no way out.
But now that he gave life
We can supplice and give what we have day
And with each little tear shed
He dries it before it falls
He is eternal after all.
