Mei Takahashi blinked. She was sitting in front of the computer, answering her email. Untill recently, she had thought nothing of email other than a way to talk to her friends from school and to order things online, but now her biased opinion will no longer remain the same. She scrolled over to the email, it was an unknown sender, but the subject clearly read; "We have chosen you, please reply". She cocked her head gently and clicked on it. The sender was still 'Unknown', she frowned. She wanted to know who sent her the email. Never the less, she scrolled down and looked at the medium-sized print. We have chosen you to receive a gift from us. We know about you. Please accept it. She jerked back. WHO sent me this?! was all the eminated within her mind. She continued to scroll down, her movements more feverish than they had been only a few moments before.

A picture of a small egg was in the center of the bottom of the page. It was a dark blue-green color and had light green frills and a speckled pattern spread around it. Still confused, she stared at it, mezmorized by it's beauty.

"H--how do I accept it?" She asked out loud to no one in particular. Reply, and you shall see. She turned around; no one. Whose voice had that been? Still at an elevated sense of things, she clicked the reply button. The egg was so beautiful, she just had to have it. Slowly, expecting the words to fly out at her, she typed,"I would like the egg,please. I will take care of it."

She clicked the 'send' button and the words she had typed so slowly had sped off in an unknown dirrection through the massive space of the Internet. A faint noise made itself known, and she refreshed the page. She had another email. The sender was 'Unknown'. Half-crazed, she sped over to the email and clicked it.

"We give to you this egg of a Rlycinian. This egg is a male. Please take care of him." Below was a link to some website, probably the same one to hatch and take care of the small, growing creature within the beautiful egg. Mei smiled and laughed, clearly relieved. She wore an expression one would wear if they had forgotten to study for the test, but somehow managed to ace it.

Myoriyn was still inside the egg, growing from an embryo to a small infant; one that would be able to claw its way out of the egg that imprisoned it and breathe the air.Like all creatures of Rlycyon, he was amphibious and could also breath in water. The three pairs of gills on his neck that were currently growing would be developed before his lungs were even close to functioning. As his little heart beat slowly, he could tell he was underwater, nestled between other eggs very similar to his own. Soon, they would all hatch and be free.

Nioni sighed and slumped back in his padded computer chair.
"Jeez...Keao.What am I going to do with you?! You have two more days then your out of Mid-Adult hood. Gah!" Nioni was the owner of a Rlycinian, Keao. Right now he was frustrated because Keao was doing nothing but lounging and observing all day.

Keao watched from a distance at the Rlycinian stepping into the cool, deep water.
"Hmmm....." He hummed to himself, pondering on whether or not he should introduce himself. He decided it would be best to make some new friends. He slowly got up from crouching and walked over to the edge of the lake. He tapped it lightly with his foot, sending ripples through out the lake.

Kohana Matsumoto sat absentmindedly with her eyes fixed on the bright computer screen. Her hands were folded, her elbows togther and resting on the desk. She set her chin on her interlaced fingers. Stupid Rlycinian move... she thought annoyed. She punched the desk. It crack, now indented. "I wish you MOVE!" Kohana shouted at the monitior.
Kohana lived in a single bedroom apartment. It was about 3 miles away from her college she attended. She didn't own a car, and rode her bike to and from work and school. She worked at the local flower shop as an assistant, it was a part time job.

Her Rlycinian, Oenone stood up. She'd been lounging on the side of the lake. "About time.." She muttered into the mouthpiece of her headset. Oenone walked around the lake, stretching. She could see on the other side, two other Rlycinians. One Kohana recognized as Mei's, the other was a complete stranger. Hmm... Oenone thought. She dove into the lake, and swam to the other side. She lifted herslef easily out of the water. the two Rlycinians were maybe 10 feet away/ She made no sound, only watched them.
