Chapter One:
Greatest Lost or Greatest Gain?
Before I ever met Tohru, I got mad every day. I could not control myself. Then she appeared. I couldn’t stop thinking about her. Now, she was to be my wife.
“Kyo, you know you should start thinking about who’s going to be your best man.” Shigure said.
“Tohru and I already agreed it would be Yuki.”
“Man, to think a couple of years ago you two would fight every time you saw each other…”
“Your best man is…me?” Yuki said as he appeared around the corner.
“Uh, well…yeah.” I said in a awkward tone.
“Well, this is weird. I guess I’ll be going.” Shigure crept out of the room.
“Kyo, thank you.” Yuki smiled.
“Kyo, you traitor!” Kagura ran through the screen door. “You didn’t tell me you were engaged to Tohru!”
“Ka-Kagura!” I tried to get away, but she jumped on top of me.
“Damn you, damn you!” she said as she repeatedly punched me.
“Oh, Kagura, is that you. Tohru appeared carrying laundry.
“I hate you Tohru!” Kagura ran out of the room.
“Was it something I said?”
“Never mind. Can I help you with anything.”
“No, I’m fine. Yuki, Machi-chan’s back.”
Yuki opened the door and his wife, Machi, appeared. “Hey Machi-chan. Was everything okay at the doctor’s?”
“Yes, the baby’s fine.” Machi said quietly. Machi was seven months pregnant with their first child.
“You’re just in time for lunch. We’re having takoyaki.”
“Um, could I speak to every one for a moment? I have some news from Hatori. Akito-san just passed away.”
“Oh, no, how terrible!” Tohru said. Tears welled up in her eyes.
“It’s okay Tohru. We all knew this would happen some day.”
“It’s so sudden though.”
I looked at Yuki and Machi. Yuki had his head down and Machi was quietly standing next to him with one hand on his shoulder.
“Are you okay Yuki?” I don’t know what moved me to say that, but I said it.
“Yeah. We better go eat.”
Chapter Two:
The Shocking Truth of Death
The room was silent. Not even Momiji would speak. Everyone was there-Hatori, Kagura, Kisa, Hiro, Haru, Rin, Shigure, Ayame, Yuki, Machi, Tohru, even Kureno.
As I looked around, the saddest looking person was Yuki. It was pretty amazing, even after all the things Akito did to him.
“Rin? I think we should go now.” Haru nudged his wife who held their daughter Sakura.
“Mm-hm.” Rin stood up. “Goodbye everyone. Tohru. Machi.” She smiles sweetly.
“Bye Yuki.” Haru said as he patted Yuki on the back. Silence again.
“We should be going too. Yuki, Machi, Kyo, Tohru.”
“Hatori, what happened?” I asked the solemn doctor as we were about to leave.
“It’s none of your concern.”
“I want to know.”
“If you really do, it was suicide.”
“W-what? Why would Akito do that?”
“I really don’t know.”
