Hello, Dear members of the ICU guild. This thread is dedicated to those who are in need of help with their Chinese homework. You can come here to ask for help or help others. If this topic isn't permitted here, I apoligize.

Sooo... Since I started the thread and all... I get to ask for help first! biggrin

I have a homework due for tomorrow morning. I have a presentation oral to do in front of the class in Chinese. I am dead meat. gonk I need help with Mandarin. I have to introduce myself. The first sentence I'm going to say is "Wo Xing Christina." Can anybody tell me what does "Jiao" mean and also what's "Jin nian ____ sui." I think "Jin nian ____ sui" has something to do with a person's age? How do we say "fifteen" and "I like badminton" in Mandarin? Thank you. smile

赛跑 Sai (4th tone) Pao (3rd tone) is race, like running race.

比赛 Bi (3rd tone) Sai is more like match, competition.

Badminton would be Yu (3rd) Mao (2nd) Qio (2nd). As in, "feather ball" ^^

Sorry for reviving such an old thread [is it against the rules?]. But some people do go to Chinese school and some people do need help... ^___^ii

Okay, I came back from Chinese school today. I'm in a cranky bitchin' mood today, my bro hit me real on the head, he's so stupid that he forgot his umbrella in the bus, now we have to walk 30 min in the rain. So Hit on the head + Rain on head = b***h, cranky, dizzy, feel like gonna faint. So if I have any bad behavior please forgive me.

Umm... So I'm back to Chinese school for second year. biggrin And umm.. Second day too... I have an assignment. We have to present our family [with a picture] in front of our class. I was just wondering if anybody could help me with my Mandarin? I totally suck and I'm trying hard to learn. ^_^

How do we say
-European
-Fashion
-Filipino
-making clothes
-go to University [like "My sister is going to university"]

I would really appreciate the help. =D

European:

-a person from Europe: 欧洲人
-something from Europe: 欧洲的____

Fashion: erm, don't know the characters, but it's Shi (2nd) Dang (4th) also 'fashionable' is liu (2nd) xing (2nd)

No idea about Filipino

Making clothes: 缝衣服

Going to uni: 上大学
