Poetry is an ART not something where some authors on here can desecrate! I'm sick of seeing the horrible works and the only good one that knows what she's doing is, jinxchan6306. Authors on here tend to butcher poetry, like someone said they are good when totally they are not.
I give advice-the hard way, my straightforward way-and no one wants to take it since they don't respond back or something. I'm only trying to help the shitty writing....and I know people are going to hate for posting this but what am I going to do? Sit around and make my eyes bleed while others post crap and think they are the s**t when it clearly shows they know nothing?
Well for one thing, sugar coating writing is not going to help any author and I'm tired of seeing that too. It's like be honest or not, don't tell them something meaningless and don't be afraid of hurting their feelings. Eventually life will hurt it more than what your petty words would do....
Oh and by the way, I'm not attacking stories...I haven't even read them.
I suggest to everyone, however, to learn the craft first before posting something that looks and sounds like crap. Improve before posting so that way your feelings won't be as hurt. I mean I've seen horrible-my-eyes-bleed poetry on here and just stop and regroup. It will be for your benefit and I'm saying this for your own good. I don't know why this guild doesn't impose a force tight on things...this is guild is like letting everyone go wild....
Also, everyone here, please your proper grammar and ENGLISH! Then maybe you can be taken serious and be understood.
I know I am going to be hated...but I want change and I'm going to take a back seat and let all this butchering to continue. I want to open your eyes and minds to realize the s**t being produce....
Thank you for reading, listening, understanding, and commenting. ^_^
P.S.: Shouldn't this section only be for stories? Why is there poetry within this section? Shouldn't poetry be regarded as something sacred within its own section? Oh also, I could have pulled out examples of everything I said and embarrass them...but they already know who they are so there is no point for me to have done that....

Honestly, you're very right. I've heard and written my own butcheries. It horrible how people try to sweeten s**t. s**t will always be s**t, no matter how much you try to sugar-coat it. The only things you can do though, is practice and read REAL poetry. And just because you've read Edgar Allen Poe's "Leanore" like 3,000 times, It still won't change the fact that you, me, we suck. Try reading Haiku's and remember, If you do write a poem, make sure they rhyme, have stanzas, and a few similes to bring forth the metaphor. But don't go over board trying to personify what you're trying to express through simply writing. You want to make sure the readers can get an image on what you're trying to convey. Got that? Good.

I applaud you for taking the time to comment. And yes I agree with you too however, it's not me that need to learn how to write better. It is this guild which the captain isn't doing anything about. The writers on here think they can write but they can't, simple as that. I know that I am the best writer and I'll give credit to others on here who know how to write and make sense and use everything they have been taught to use. But what I don't agree with is you making it seem as if I need the learning lesson, like I said again: no, not me, but the writer's in this guild. There is a reason why I don't post stories or poems on here because, it's not worth it and they are not deserving of it. Plain hard truth. However, I applaud you again for taking the time to comment.

I understand what you're saying, but I must disagree with you on two things. First off, it's true that sugar-coating things won't help, but what may be s**t to you and three billion other people, may not be s**t to the rest of the world. And secondly, not all poems need to rhyme. ^^ However, as my Creative Writing teacher always says: "They only way to get better at writing is to write everyday, even if it's only one word."

Yes! Finally someone who gets it!
I hate crappy writing.
I think people who sugar-coat are afraid that the other person will say, "Wah! Y u no like me? Wat i do?" or something like that, when in fact, they just can't write. It's hard for people to reject their friends, and harder still to be rejected.
Personally, I enjoy getting negative feedback. It gives my something to write about and work on. Also, that way I know someone has read my stories.

I know you have a point, and a good one at that. But poetry is about expression. If someone writes something, and wants to share it they should be able to without criticism. But in posting it they should realise that everyone has different views on everything, so they just have to accept all comments graciously. If they think they're the s**t, they're asking for trouble. But otherwise if someones writing isn't quite up to scracth, just try and focus on the emotion they are trying to convery instead.
