Illian is bordered to the northwest by Altara, by the Nemarellin Mountains to the west, to the southwest by Kabal Deep, to the northeast by Murandy, to the east and northeast by the Plains of Maredo and to the south by the Sea of Storms. The rivers Manetherendrelle, Storn, and Cary join in Illian and empty into the Sea of Storms. The Doirlon Hills are located in northeastern Illian.
