Writing Example:
What hurts the most is neither a breath-taking punch, nor a broken heart as many washed-out lovers say. No, of all, what hurts the most is none other than the demon change. Change attacks anyone without a sharp eye open. It can happen in a blink of an eye, but the damage could take a whole lifetime to repair.
It could be as little as the vending machine you go to daily not having the flavor of corn nuts that you always get, or it could be as devastatingly real as walking across the street only to find yourself under a bus, then six-feet under. Change really is a devious operator, happening as often as someone breathes. In reading that little sentence, change has happened at least five times. Five people out there were either ruined for life, or a vending machine is being kicked mercilessly. Change can only be defined as those who are affected by it.
Change can be a tear-wrenching experience, a frustrating moment, or it could be found in the form of a man hopping around, holding his foot with which he had just foolishly kicked a metal machine. For me, it was the first choice. On that rainy day that change struck, not even I could have distinguished my salty tears from the chilling rain.
