Has anyone else read the Jack Reacher series by Lee Childs?
I've only recently gotten into them and I have to say they are very well written. They sort of fall into the thriller/action category.
Jack Reacher is an ex-military Major, ho served in the army as an MP (military police) all around the world. He left the military and is now basically homeless. He just travels around America seeing a lot of it for the first time.
From a writing pov this is a brilliant move, no worries about your character being stuck in one city/town all the time. One book he can be in California, the next Houston or Idaho.
He's like a modern day cowboy, riding into town (usually on a Greyhound bus), trouble finds him, some dame falls in love, he saves the day and rides back off into the sunset.
For me these books are becoming highly addictive, I want to stay up all night just reading. smile
I highly recommend this series to fans of action and thriller genres.
