Which Side? L/Light : She's on Kira's side, because she agrees with his ideals and hates that fact that it is in fact Light Yagami, someone who she has competed with since highschool.
Brief Bio: She's #2. She hates Light and is always competing with him whether he realizes it or not. She gets the Deathnote because Risky borrowed someone's Deathnote and accidently dropped it. Asako rarely uses the Deathnote, but when she does she always uses it profusly. In order to keep tabs on Kira and in order to get any word of criminal activity as quickly as possible, she became a journalist once out of school and uses that to her advantage.

She's a student in America working at the cafe to earn money for her schooling.

Brief Bio: He is an expensive detective who makes some attempts in aiding Light's cause. He is bored with the world and wishes to see the chaos that could be brought about after peace is achieved. As his shinigami hated his killing methods, he eventually managed to get it to save a small girl named Claudia, someone with whom he plans to leave the burden of his plans to. Aoi has a progessing heart illness.

Brief Bio: Aoi had originally intended to only use her as a means by which to kill his shinigami. However, the girl quickly became attatched to him. Seeing her as potential aid, Aoi spent time with her. Her father is a violent drunk and periodically beats her mother. Claudia herself is very cheerful, despite her situation and is overjoyed when her father dies. This joy is furthered when Aoi reveals to her that he is her father's killer. She has a secret crush on Aoi.

Her mother, Father, and older sister watched over her until when she was 6, her mother and father died in an accident. Her older sister raised her from then on until the day Shiranui moved out and and moved into an apartment for her last year of highschool before starting her first year at the university, where she studies Anthropology today.

Asako was sitting, resting her chin on the table and sighed listlessly. She looked around a bit but just felt bored.

Mello stared boredly at one of his chocolate wrappers, "200.. Calories." He growled tossing the foil away from him in disgust. His seemingly never ending stash of chocolate was running dangerously low, and as a result he was forced to consume wisely until he had a chance to get more. Mello unhappily unwrapped the second bar of chocolate and stared at it contemplating weather to eat it or not.

Asako stared at her captor. "So... Chocolate huh?" She asked, eyeing the candy. She was low on sugar....

Mello looked up slowly, "Yeah" He replied, raising an eyebrow at the girl. He smirked and waved the chocolate from side to side in front of her. "Hmm?"

She watched the chocolate and waited for him to let his guard down before grabbing for it.

Amused by this, Mello continued to tease her. "Heh, so you like chocolate too?"

"Like? I suppose.... but it's more like I need something sweet.... low blood sugar makes me irritable..." She continued to watch the chocolate.

"Well, that's no good." He watched her, pulling the bar chocolate just out of her reach.

"Meh...." She half-glared at him. "So..... if you're not gonna give me chocolate gimme something else..." She stared at him.

He put the unwrapped bar down on the table in front of him. "Hm, I don't have much else."

The second he placed the poor defenseless chocolate on the table, Asako grabbed it. "Ha!"

"HEY!" Mello growled, standing up furiously as she swiped the candy bar. "I didn't say you could have that!"

She stuck her tongue out at him. "Mine now!" She licked it so he wouldn't want it back and turned away from him.
