Hello, all.

Given the fact that you have already read the rules and application, allow me to describe to you a little bit about Blood Pacts.

Blood Pacts is a homebrewed RPG that is set in a world of vampires, lycans, and humans. Like other tabletop games, Blood Pacts uses a dice system to determine outcomes of actions carried out. It is still in its experimental phases, and is constantly growing and expanding. The system is based in part on the D&D V3.5 d20 system. The system is currently being created by myself, Chibi-Teddo. For more information on the gameplay rules, please refer to the Player's Handbook.

Blood Pacts is a time-spanning adventure, taking place on multiple levels of time and space. It will be played in a series of 'books' written non-chronologically in different eras on the planet Feratris. Characters may be used in different eras with corresponding ages. Others may be 'reincarnated' with former memories and inherent abilities.

The determinate setting for our first 'book', Devour, is one of a steampunk'd Victorian era. Set over 100 years following an apocalyptic near-destruction of the entire world caused by mankind, civilization is rebuilding itself anew. The vampires, crippled by the loss of so much of their prey, were crippled for years. However, now they are helping humanity build their cities anew, and the lycans are willing to do whatever it takes to prevent humanity from traveling the same path that nearly destroyed the world.

Are you prepared to join our world of gothic vampires and tribal lycans? Or perhaps you are willing to be a human who tries to wrestle the fate of mankind away from these two powers? Your next stop is creating a character.

I'd like to take a moment to detail what Devour is all about.

Devour is the first chapter in my planned time-spanning RP/RPG.

That slight slashy thing is what this post entails: can we make this an RPG?

Devour is here to answer that question. It will be our 'pilot' episode if you will. The goal is to see if we can successfully incorporate RPG elements into our standard forum-based RP. If all goes to hell... I'll just cut out all the complications and make this a free-form, no numbers RP. But if it succeeds... twisted
