The "decline leg press" or "laying leg press" machine looks roughly like the above. though it changes a little bit brand to brand.
All you need to do to win
1 x ice guantlet + 1 x fire guantlet
is....
Tell me what weight I did today on my maximum weight set today.
RULES
1) only one guess
2) you can guess in Lbs or Kgs, 1kg = 2.2lbs (I will convert at time of judging)
3) you can chat in this thread
4) If multiple people guess the right weight I will...split the prize, but you are guarenteed at least 1x the item in the prize if splitting...I.e you are guarenteed to at least get one guantlet...even if 6 people guess the right weight
5) if the right weight is not guessed it will go to the closest guess
6) if the closest guess is guessed by more than one person there will be a "play off" of some sort
7) I can not prove my weight, but have no reason to lie...so you just need to trust it.
cool THIS COMP IS ONLY OPEN FOR 48 HOURS AFTER THE TIME OF THIS POST
Hints or destractions
1) the way the machine works in you put the weights on the bars at the top, you sit in the seat...which as you can see is at a decline. you put your feet on the plate, you push til your legs are roughly straight, then you leg it drop til you leg is roughly at a right angle at the knee...the you repeat.
2) I havent done this exercise for probally over a year
3) I built up to my max weight over 5 - 6 sets, adding weight each time..each of these "warm up sets" was at 10 reps (i.e 10 x extend, lower and repeat)
4) I did the same weight as my record when I was about 17.
5) weights are in Kgs, and possible plate sizes are (since to increase weights you just add another plate)...2.5kg, 5kg, 10kg and 20kgs. So it wont be a number that can be made with any combo of those...I may have used a mix of plates to get my weight, or may have just used plates of all the same size.
6) my max weight set...I only did 6 reps.
7) I rested for about 2 minutes between sets.
8 ) you can google "deline leg press" or "laying leg press" for more info on the exercise and such
9) I am 84.1 kgs at todays weigh in. thats 185 lbs
10) although its the same type of machien, the one i used wasnt either of the ones in the pictures, but they work roughly the same and should yield roughly the same results.
11) I am looking for the weight in terms of weight added (i,e does not include the weight you would press if no plates are added)
12) the same size weights and number of plates are added to both sides of the machien to keep it even (so the number will be divisable by two)
