Bound.

Story: This roleplay is similar to One Is Foresaken in many ways. I loosely based this off a book I just finished, about a young girl, Xing Xing, who lives with her Stepmother and half-sister, Wei Ping. Her half-sister has bound her feet to be chosen to get married. In this time in China, women cost less than cattle. Her Stepmother's quest to find Wei Ping a husband puts Xing Xing in the posistion to revolt.
Fed up with her Stepmother's antics, she fakes sick and stays home from the annual cave festival. While her Stepmother and halfsister go to the festival, she dresses up in her mother's clothes and sneaks out of the house.
At the festival, her Stepmother sees her and she races home, only to drop a gold slipper. And you should all know what happends next.

This story sets place in China, around 784 B.C., in a small village where most live in caves set in the mountain. Like said, women mean less than cattle. Most of the women who give birth must give birth to sons or they are deemed useless. Many of the wealthy owners have slaves.

Personality: Shy among people she doesnt know, polite when she needs to, but gets angry VERY easily.

Short Bio: Tishon has been a slave for the Kassian dynasty his whole life. He works along side his younger brother, Porter. The Kassian heir, Raija, treats him kindly.
Personality: Noble and loves to cause trouble with his younger brother, plays pranks on the government officials. He is very loyal and takes disappointment very seriously.

Random Fact: Occaisionally takes walks with Raija in the gardens.

Short Bio: When she refused to bind her feet her parents deemed her worthless and sold her to the nearby palace. She has only been there for 6 days and no one really knows anything about her because she doesn't talk very much.
Personality: Quiet and usually submissive, except for those things that would cause her pain or she is highly against. Anti-social and likes to challenge herself to read random writings she sees around the palace or village.
Appearance:
Random Fact: Miyu used to run away from home with her little brothers all the time. Then when she was older, she ran away by herself to excape her mother from binding her feet.

"TISHON!!!" Porter yelled from outside. Tishon appeared from the upstairs deck.
"What?!" He yelled back.
"Look at this fish!" He yelled. Tishon sighed and ran downstairs and outside. Raiji was sitting down on a stone step by the large pond. There was a large fish in the middle, swimming around a rock. Porter put his fingers in the pool, the fish sucked on his thumb. He giggled and took it out. The fish was large, the size of an adult man, and had white scales. The very tips of it's fins were bright red.
"He wants to be a dragon..." Raiji whispered. Tishon nodded in agreement, staring at Raiji mindlesslessly. Raiji looked up and met his gaze. She smiled warmly as he blushed and looked away.

"Mama!!" Miu yelled. Her feet hurt. Her mother was at her side instantly.
"Oh...My baby. Your feet. They're getting smaller everyday." She said with approval. Miu nodded.
"Yes. Soon I will have the smallest feet in China. I will be the desire of many men." She said, wincing as her mother changed her bandages.
"If only you were taller, like your sister." Her mother said, soaking the bandages in water. Miu nodded stiffly.

Mei heard the shouts "Mama" and "Tishon" at the same time, she had no idea where to go first to see what happened. She decided to go see Miu's yell first. She rushed to where she heard the yell and saw it was just her feet, but she went up anyway. "What happened?" She said as honest as she could.

Miu looked up. It was her sister, Mei.
"Mother forgot to wrap Miu's feet today." Miu said, talking in third person, she did this often.  

[KimmuPanda-]

Mei played along. " Aww poor Miu.. Mei will be back she needs to check on something. Mei will make sure everything is OK." Mei smiled. Mei rushed over to the large pond. "What happened?" She reapeated, this time really honest as she didn't know what DID happen.

Tishon looked at Raiji's pained expression. Her feet hurt.
"Look at the fish." She said in a choked voice. She managed a smile at Mei.
Porter splashed in the pond, the fish disappeared in the deepness of the pool.  

[KimmuPanda-]

Mei frowned. Everyones feet hurt.. All the time... She felt sorry for them; and sad and happy for herself. She didn't NEED her fate to be this.. sad and angry at herself for not choosing to go through this pain with them. She stared down at her feet while she dragged then over to sit next to Raija. " Wow." Was all she said, remebering the fish.

Tishon sighed, wishing he could be the one next to Raiji. Their social class was so different that a relationship was forbidden between them.
His eyes were lost in the past, remembering when she kissed him. Oh how he would give anything to be with her.
Raiji smiled, pain free from her expression.
"It's alright, they don't hurt that bad." She said.  

[KimmuPanda-]

"Tishon" Mei called. She didn't miss his reaction to her sitting down. She also knew what was what going on between them. She got up and patted the space on the rock next to Raiji. "I won't tell." She grinned, very chilish.

Raiji looked at Tishon, then at Mei.
Tishon looked dumb-struck.
"Uhh.Uhh..." He stuttered and sat next to Raiji. Raiji smiled at him, pained once again.  

[KimmuPanda-]

Mei put her hand in a way, saying Shoo. But it really said: Go ahead and talk.She walked to the pond next to Porter. " Where's the fish?" She said truly surprised.

Tishon caught her gesture out of the corner of his eye. He scowled.
"So, uh, Raiji..." He said, nervous. She smiled at him.
"Would you like to go for a walk? Or are your feet hurting..." He said, unsure. She smiled, holding his hand.
"Okay." She said, standing, putting the weight on her heels. They walked away from the palace.

Porter giggled.
"He went away. He'll be back." He said, putting his fingers in the water.
Sure enough, after a while a huge white fish appeared, sucking on his finger.
