So, yeah.

I'm still not allowed to get it until I turn 18, and..
I'm even more upset about it..

And something important happened in 5 hours that you couldn't wait for a reply? This is a slow guild, many of us don't have time to be online all the time, if you don't get a reply try waiting a day or two.

Just wait. If you really want it, then it's worth the wait. Plus you get more satisfaction from it knowing you've waited so long to get it.

I had to wait until I was 16 and had a steady job before I could get any piercings.

And I had to wait until I was 18 to get my tattoo. I knew exactly what I wanted from the time I was 15 and had been imagining and day dreaming about the tattoo for years. So it made finally getting it once I turned 18 even more worth it.

I agree. Sometimes the wait makes it much better. Also, it makes certain that you really want it and it's not just a whim.

As much as my parents hate piercings,
They may even disown me after I get the ones I want.

I really hope that's an empty threat.

No real parent should EVER disown their child for ANY reason.

I have 2 kids myself. I'd sooner slit my throat than disown them. Ever.

...

To top it all off, it's just jewelery, for ******** sake.

How can they stop you? Are they really threating with anything decent? I know it's not easy with all parents though.

They'd rip it out of my lip, if I got it.
That's how they are, they were raised by strict parents.

They're pretty old fashioned.

Hey, I had to wait till I was 18 for all my piercings except my ears. When you get to the point when you can look back, you'll find that it isn't that long of a wait. Plus, you'll get that wonderful feeling the first time you're able to legally make decisions about your own body.

Well, I'm a very religious Roman Catholic Christian.

I also have multiple piercings and large tattoos.

I can't stand people who blame Jesus for their own judgmental behavior.

That's not a very "Christian" way to behave, anyway xd

That aside, as other people have mentioned, I too waited till I was 18 for my tattoos and most of my piercings. Only my 4 pairs of regular earrings were done at 16 and 17 (except the first pair, done at age 3).

Moral of the story is, my first non-ear piercing I ended up removing and my first 2 tattoos, I ended up having them removed via laser surgery.

Those things were all done at 18 and they were STILL the wrong ideas for me in the long-run. In retrospect, I shouldn't have ran to the tattoo parlour on my 18th birthday and go "YAYZ LOL OMG I CAN HAZ TATTOO NAO"

I should have taken some extra time to REALLY think it through. I would have saved myself alot of time and dollars. As expensive as the tattoos were to put on, they were MULTIPLE times more expensive to take off.

The piercing I can't say the same for, I lost myself the price of the piercing and jewelry, but it was free to remove. Luckily it wasn't something that would leave a big mark behind.

Either way, though, if you STILL see yourself wanting a particular piercing or tattoo after 2 years of thinking about it, it's more likely you will want to keep it forever.
