Poem (No Title - Any Suggestions?)

Find me tying stones to the necks of memories
And dropping them from bridges
Listen to them wail

Find me cleaning windows
Not so that visions won't escape
More likely that they die trying to get in

I am the one who promised you
Beyond your heartbeats
Until your breath swung back
Inhaling the eternity of death
That I would be for each
One heartbeat to the end

But that night I drowned
Over and over, remembering
When I dreamed of you in another's arms
And woke to cry alone
Afraid to wake you



A shriveled leaf
Fall-touched
Upon a rock
Waiting
Palm open

A star goes black
Like one blade of grass crumpling
It's light finally touching the last eyes
It fades from recognition
In a silence only the blind know
And perhaps no one understands

Ooh, that poem's pretty. . . Hmm, title. . . maybe memories, you talked a bit about them in the poem. . . I liked it anyway

Maybe you should leave it untitled?
If one doesn't come to you, I generally find it's best to leave the poem without a name. A wrong title can ruin it.
