Harps are so often associated with airy, magical moods, usually accompanied by soft strings and high-pitched woodwinds also playing rather soft. Anyone know of some good harp music that's meant for just the harp, no excerpts or anything just a single solo work?

Are you kidding? There's TONS AND TONS AND TONS. And some really famous stuff (at least in the harp world) too. The most famous orchestra solo piece is the cadenza in the Nutcracker's Waltz of the Flowers.
Actually, barring the violin, I'd say harp has an incredible amount of solo pieces for an orchestral piece, partly because we're underused in the orchestra. sad
My personal favorite is Marcel Tournier's Les Anesses Grises sur la Route d'El Azib. There's also other ones, like the Crown of Ariadne (played Judy Loman). Just ask me, I'll spout 5-10 solo pieces.
....If you haven't guessed by now, I'm a rabid harpist. ^_^
