There was a man who laughed like -this-, Smiled like -this-, Died like -this-.
Three arcs: voice, mouth, spine, all curving away from life.
And the children watched, not quite sure when His words started counting As final,
Knowing only that the last one was "please".

We all of us fear youth, Fear its high cruel singing, damp palms, blank eyes disproportionate To strange small bodies.
We all of us fear youth, For we are young.

The banyan tree blue-throated Shiva sat under Grows still. His gift touches everything, He knows, But the figs are sweet, And even gods can think, Not yet.

This is in essence just a place to write down ideas and stanzas that may or may not be incorporated into actual poems. Not sure whether it should go here or not...
