Prologue: Nightmare
Two hours of sitting up in my bed. Lights out, dead silence, all by my self. The rustles of leaves outside skidding on the concrete gave me the chills. My curtains blew forward and back slowly. My mind was running through thought constantly. No end to my thoughts. In my head was my favorite thing in the world, school.
My time awake waiting for Saturday night to end. I wanted Sunday to come, that way I had one more day till school's second week began. I sat back against my wall.
My cell phone rang at such an odd time. It's almost twelve, all my friends are all asleep, and no one around is awake. What was wierdest was the fact that my lights where off and my phone wouldn't stop ringing!
t was ring after ring after ring. Non stop. Who was it, what did they want, why did they decide to call me now? I'm available till one in the morning. What the hell!
I didn't want my parents to wake up, so I picked up my phone and answered, "Hello. May I ask who's calling me at this time?" All I heard was panting. Then a freakishly soft creepy voice,
"My name....I don't have one. I want you!"
"Good night sir."
"Wait! Look outside your window. Go ahead, take a peek. Don't be scared!"
I hesitated to open up the curtain . My hand jerked back. I knew something is going to be really bad if those curtains opened. The man on the other line hung up on me. I leaped out of bed and slept in my brothers bed room.
Then there was a knock on his window. I slowly crept out of his room, into the bath room, locked the door, and fell asleep in the bath tub.
What the hell is going on? I don't want to die. I felt tears rolling off my cheeks and tapping the tub. All of a sudden, the door was being knocked rely hard on. Vulgar language was being yelled out through the door. Wake me up, I'm living a nightmare!

Chapter One: Dead!
I woke up finding myself sleeping in my bath tub with my mom knocking on the door screaming. My arms felt really limp and fragile. As I was trying to get back on my feet, my mother said something that made me stop,
"The cops came last night. Are you alright?"
I looked at the door and froze....last night? What happened last night? Apparently something really bad happened, to me or my house and I don't remember.
"Are you okay Hun? Listen, if you don't know what the hell I'm talking about, then don't worry about it at all. But...just don't worry about it. Go to school," my mom said in a soft tone. She was upset, as I could tell.
I got up and opened the door. She was gone. I had absolutely no idea what she was talking about. Once I walked into my living room, the door was broken.
My eyes were glued on. Then my mother pulled me into the kitchen and shoved me into the pantry so I could find cereal. She slowly walked away making sure I wasn't concerned about the door.
I pulled the cereal out of my pantry and got a bowl. As I poured my cereal into my bowl, I watched my mom text my dad. He was at work last night and stayed at a hotel.
My mom started crying a bit...what happened? I sort of poured too much cereal and it was every where. Oopsies!
I couldn't get the thought of something bad happening. My mom stared ant me and started to scream. I looked at her confused. She covered her mouth and started to freak. I was about to scratch my head, but then I felt mush (A.K.A. brains and torn tissue). I started to freak as well. My body went into complete shock. I collapsed onto my knees. I didn't have a clear vision of how my head landed, if I saw a shadow rushing, or my surrounding, but all I knew was that i knocked out BADLY!
Unconscious for god knows how long, and hopefully not dead!

Chapter two: Again!
My eyes slowly opened into a bright white room. I had to squint until my eyes adjusted. Once my eyes did so, I looked around the room. Which was hard because I was strapped down to a bed.
All of a sudden I heard running. Soft tapping of bare feet on linoleum floors. My door quickly opened and shut. My eyes drifted over to the right and I saw a little girl crawling under my hospital bed.
She started to shiver and pant. I could hear her about to bawl about how something bad was going to happen to her.
My door slowly opened and a doctor with his assistant walked towards me. The assistant pulled out stethoscope and pressed it against my chest. Then she wrote on her clip board my status. My eyes closed and my fist clenched.
The doctor was unhooking me from my bed. He slowly walked towards my head and lifted my back up.
"Hello. How are you?" the man sat near my feet.
"I'm fine. I don't feel weird or anything. Can I go home?"
"Hahaha! You're funny. Have you seen a little girl running around here?"
I hesitated to tell the truth. I could feel her shaking under my bed.
"Who? I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about," I said.
The doctor and nurse nodded and left the room.
I saw a little head pop out in front of me. Her eyes were painted with fear, she had goose bumps all over, her face was completely white, her veins were popping out.
"Th...thank you. Wha...whats your name?"
"My name is Rachel. How about your self?"
She stood up and started to loose fear, "My name is Dawn. This isn't a hospital."
I looked at her like she was crazy.
"It's an institute made for those who have problems with thier memories. Then they turn you into freaks. Bad freaks. They were going to turn me...well...into a human. So I was scared and ran to you. thank you for saving me."
We looked at each other with a solid look.
All of a sudden, fast heavy steps flew into my room. There were men with big white suits on. They ran in and grabbed Dawn by the neck. She started squealing and kicking her feet all over. The men put a needle into her arm. Two men in fact injected stuff into both arms.
In a blink of an eye, Dawn was asleep...or dead. They stormed out of the room. One man ran to me, grabbed my arm, and injected stuff into me as well. BAM! Knocked out...again...

Chapter three: Inside.
A girl with long dark hair, hidden eyes, and pail skin. A girl wearing absolutely nothing. A girl limping and crying for help.
I slowly approach her. My hand was lent out as a sign of kindness. She looked up. One of her eyes were a beautiful color of electric blue. The other one looked like an albino eye (pure light red, just encase if you never knew, now you know). The albino looking eye had a big scar running through it.
She grabbed my hand then collapsed to her knees. The girl looked me straight in the eye and whispered wearily, "please save Dawn...please save her. I can sense the danger she's in and I wish for it to end. Please," she coughed and then try to continue, "you will have to be the biggest hero of your life. There's a gun under your bed in the small chest. Shoot any one that stands in your way except Dawn.
You will have to run up the main hallway into the nurses office. There's an emergency exit behind her desk. Run up the stairs to the 5th floor. Then there will be one really long hallway. Find room fifty-four zero zero. She'll be on the big bed. Make sure not to shoot her at all. Get her out of the room through the emergency fire exit. That will take you on top of the roof.
Do as I say and don't hesitate. Just go quickly and fluently. Once you get to the roof top, Dawn will take you through the rest. And don't worry, you'll be fine...as long as you follow every single detail, okay? Hurry up. Time is running fast! By the way, don't tell Dawn that I told you about this. You're the hero, not me."
She slowly faded and my eyes slowly opened. The only thing running through my head is, "it's show time! Kill the lady with my private files, save Dawn, and get the hell outa' here!" and guess what?
I jumped off the bed, slid under it, and rummaged through the boxes. Yes, I did find the small chest with the gun inside!

Chapter four: Flying?!
The gun I held up close. I could see my reflection on the barrel of the gun. Such a beautiful pistol. As I ran to the door and out, I saw people staring at me. As soon as I remembered, I shot these people and continued to run. It was actually sort of fun!
As I made a dash for the nurse’s office, I twisted the knob, and it was locked. What to do? Quickly, I shot the window and the woman behind it, jumped through, and continued through the back. I noticed the Emergency Exit sign.
I pushed the door open as I ran up. The nice pistol tightly gripped, my eyes slightly squinted, and my hands grasping tight. As soon as I saw the number ‘five’, I quickly opened the door.
The halls were completely empty. No one walking or running. I slowly walked to find room 54-hundred. There was 48-hundred, 50-hundred, and at the end of the hallway, 53-hundred. This wasn’t right?
I looked up and there it was! Room 54-hundred! I pulled the handle down and the escalator thingy popped out. My feet complied me to run up the escalator and enter a small room.
The lights beamed on in a flash. There she was. Dawn helplessly tied up in a straight jacket strapped down to a bed. My legs trembled as I crept closer to her. I could hear her breathing, smell her fear, and see her shaking.
“Don’t worry, it’s me Rachel and I’m here to help,” I said in a calm voice. The smell of fear swept away. I knew that Dawn could trust me from the beginning. I raised my voice a bit when I saw Dawn’s head pop up, “I want to help you okay? What we’re going to do is something dangerous...” Dawn interrupted me, “Yah, I know. We’re going to escape right? All what your going to tell me is gibberish. Now let’s beet it before the Mafia comes after us.”
We both headed for the fire emergency exit. I rammed the door open, still clenching the gun. I looked up and saw the roof top exit. Everything was going according to plan! I couldn’t wait to ram the doors open! But...Dawn beet me to it. Damn.
As we made a mad dash to the edge of the building, we saw trees farther then the eye could see! We were in a deep forest miles away from the big city I'm from. Maybe, the big city that I'll never return to! I turned to Dawn.
She chuckled a bit then made a dash off the edge. I tried to grab her hospital gown, but it was too late. She had fallen deep into the trees. I almost started to cry.
All of a sudden big men in the white suits ran on top of the roof. They waited until I made a sudden move. Then a small voice screamed from behind, "JUMP!"
I looked back for a second to the trees. Then one of the men said, "if you stay right there, we can return you home," My feet backed up inch by inch until my heel felt the edge, "if you jump...well...there's nothing we can do except let you die. Your choice."
My heels complied me to push back. There I was, falling feet from the ground and off a building. The last thing I saw before my eyes closed, were the men rushing to the edge and little hands...little hands?! My eyes widened for a second.
In the blink of an eye, I was flying! What?!

Chapter five: Fun.
I looked up and my hero was, no other then, Dawn. Her wing span stretched really far for a small child. No she wasn’t an avian human like in Maximum Ride. She was a vampire.
Her face was red as she flew up and back. The white men turned into white dots, the trees ended up looking like a huge blob of green, the building faded into the clouds.
I could only think one thing so far, PLEASE DON’T DROP ME.
She flew along the ocean of green. The clouds were nice and moist. Oh! To those who think you can sleep on a cloud, (here’s a science lesson for today) clouds are just made up of vapor and vapor is a gasish type of water. And you can’t sleep on gas unless you feel like going straight through it and dieing.
I loved the view. Ocean of green and moist air. I spread my arms out wide to feel everything, took a big sniff of the air, and closed me eyes. A smile formed on my face from ear to ear. Then I looked up at Dawn. She looked exhausted.
“Where are we going?” I asked Dawn. The smile faded.
“I’m taking you to...” She struggled to pull me closer. Once she got a good grip (so she thought) her hand slid and I started to FALL?! Dawn did a quick dive and I landed on her back. I heard an “oomph!” coming from her. Then she continued while she pushed up back into the clouds, “Well, we’re going to a demon academy. At least you are. But you’re going to try to get some dirt on a missing student. Are to the throne of the vampires and wolves. Yah, well, she attended the school a while back and she disappeared.”
“But hold on! I’m not a demon,” I looked down at her with a major confused face.
“You don’t have to be demon to attend. There’s one class that you take for a whole year. It’s called, ‘local discovery of miseries’ otherwise know as LDM. Take this class and you will get the low down on where that student went missing.”
“Do you know this student?”
“Not a chance,”
“Then why are we doing this?”
“I want to see my family. She might be the missing link that can reunite me and my family,”
“So you’re using this kid?”
“Not exactly...”
“What are we gonna’ do with her after? Throw her away like garbage?”
“We’ll make wanted posters and see if the family still wants her,” Dawn pushed further and faster.
“Alright, was she a demon?”
“Not quite sure on the details Rachel.”
It was quiet for a moment. This whole thing about this girl was too much for me to take in. How was I going to save someone? I’m no hero!
“The ******** you are!” Dawn said.
“How old are you missy?” I started to get firm with her.
“I’m six,” she huffed for a second and then said something before I even said something, “I’m sorry I was saying bad language. I’ll try to be better.”
“I’m not your mother. I don’t care!” I looked at her funny.
Even more silence. Then I had to brake it, “Okay, how did you know what I thought?”
“I can read minds. But here’s the thing, you saved me back at the institute. You are a hero!”
My eyes widened. She’s a six year old with an attitude, who swears, who boosts confidence, and who can read minds? What is going on here? Did I miss something? Am I really suffering the head traumas like my doctor told my mom?
“Rachel. This isn’t a dream! It’s for real! You got to believe me,” Dawn made the wide eyes at me.
“I believe you,” I said softly. I rolled my eyes. Dawn abruptly pointed.
“There’s demon school! Get ready for landing!” Dawn swooped down and sped up.
“BUT I DON’T HAVE ANY CLOTHS EXCEPT THESE!!” I screamed on my way down. Hey! This ride down was kinda...fun!

Chapter six: Building.
We landed safely on campus grounds. No one was walking around at this time.
“Hey Dawn? Where’s the main office for administration?” I looked down at her and held her hand.
“I...I...I really don’t know. I’m guessing it’s in the middle of these entire towers,” Dawn pointed to a small but narrow building.
The campus ground looked like a giant office building. There was the small narrow one. On the left side, there was a long building connected to the main building. Then over the left there was a big building just a tad a part from the main building and its left wing.
Then there was another wing of the building on the right and a tad over, there was another big building.
The buildings were all white and there were no windows. The entire campus had a 12ft high brick wall surrounding it. On top of the wall there was a 2ft high electric bob-wire fence.
There was a gate behind us that was 13ft high and made of electric bars that was activated by a card that only the guards use. The gate had a system in it that linked from the bob-wire coils and if you touched it, you’d be lunch for the other demons.
I turned to look down at dawn and I said softly, “this place looks like a prison.”
“That’s exactly what it was. I believe it was...not sure. You should look into it though, since you’re taking LDM.”
“Yah...” I sighed at the thought of me being a detective.
We entered the white main building. The lights were on, but still no people. Dawn ran to a door that said “office” on it. I followed her and opened it. Finally, civilization! There were actual people...well, actual demons. No exactly my thought of civilization. We walked up to the main desk. A cat lady stood up and smiled at me, “may I help you?”
“Yes. I would like to enroll to this school,” I hesitated a bit.
“Yes yes! May I have you fill out a few forms?”
“Ugh....sure!” I leaned in to the hand that was serving forms. My hands swept the forms from her gently. She sat back down waiting for me to complete.

I handed my forms into her. She looked over them and then sat down. The cat lady punched a bunch of numbers and letters into her computer. The printer turned on and spat something out. The cat lady snatched the paper, stood up, and handed it to me, “this is your class schedule. Please try not to get lost. Also the paper underneath is your dormitory room number. Enjoy your year and welcome to Demon School Academy!” The lady smiled, twirled back to her computer and sat back down.
Me and Dawn turned and left the office. I looked down at my sheet of paper and walked out of the building.

Chapter seven: Dream.
I looked at my card and then looked at the numbers on the elevator. I mumbled to myself, “floor number five.”
Dawn looked up at me as if I had been speaking to her. She looked into my eyes, for some reason, the look made her understand that I had been mumbling to myself. The elevator bell rang and the number five glew above the door. The elevator doors quickly jumped to the sides.
We walked to the room 54. There was something strange going on here. Inside the institute, the room number with Dawn in it was 54-hundred. My dormitory room number was 54. You can’t tell me that is not creepy.
I opened the door seeing these two dragon demons making out on a bed. Need I remind you, that girls and ONLY girls live in this dormitory building. I walked passed them completely ignoring them.
As long as they didn’t kiss me, I’m cool. I laid all my stuff on the floor and smacked my body onto the most comfortable bed in the universe. Well, you can’t blame me; I’ve been flying around and had to sleep on a hospital bed. Not fun!
The girls crawled over to the edge of the bed staring at me as if I was amusing. They were twins by the way. Also that made them insests. I looked back at them from the corner of my eye.
“Hey! You’re a human, why aren’t you down stairs?”
I looked at them like they were crazy; I replied, “I’m not quite sure.”
“Did you know that class starts in two hours?”
I looked over at my watch. It said 7:45, “Wait. School starts at night?”
“Well of curse it does silly! Oh yah! Being a human must be different. My sister and I just woke you a few minutes ago.”
“WHOA! We’re supped to sleep during the day?”
“Yah! Now you rest and we’ll wake you up when class starts later okay? You look tired so you might need it,” the two girls spoke at the same time. Had they practiced it? I don’t know.
My eyes slowly closed and before you know it, I was asleep. Dawn is safe in the closet where she last crawled into. Hopefully no one sees her.
I was now asleep drifting into dream.

Chapter eight: Time.
The same girl from my last dream slowly crawled to my feet with blood flooding out from her mouth. Her hand slid out from underneath, her legs pushed underneath her be-hind, and she held out her hand. The girl coughed and then she looked up at me with big scared eyes, “Please do something now. We don’t have much time left till they do something even worse to me. In LDM, I want you to find as much dirt as you can possibly find. Help me out, will yah?” She slowly faded away just as I was about to grab her hand and help her up.

My eyes slowly opened as I felt something pressing really hard against my gut. I widened my eyes to see what it was. It was just the twins hovering over both sides of me. I looked down at my stomach and saw a uniform.
“Put this on. Class is getting ready to start,” the wins both bowed and backed away from me. This felt really weird and frightening some how.
My legs swung over the bed and landed onto the floor. I lifted myself off the bed and catching my cloths from falling on the floor. As I walked out of the room, I could her muffling coming from the twins. With that, I ignored them and went on my merry way. Once I got out of the room, I opened another door leading to the storage closet.
There was Dawn. She looked up at me with weary eyes.
“Do I have to go with you?” She rubbed her eye. Damn she’s adorable.
“Nope, just sit in here and wait for my return,” I kindly whispered. I also smiled down at her then closed the door. Then I continued down the hall.

Once I entered my first class the teacher looked at me funny, “You’re supposed to be in the human classes during the day.” I walked over to him and showed him my schedule.
“Makes sense. Alright! You sit in the front...riiiiiiiiiiiiight...there!” He pointed to the empty seat in the far corner.
I slowly walked to my desk wishing I got the human schedule.

That question about my timing seriously got on my nerves.
Once I entered my last class till dinner, Journalism, I burst out, “I’m here because the office people don’t like me. I told them I was a human but no! They set me up. And let me guess, I sit in the front seat far off in the corner just like in all my other classes?”
The teacher gave me a funny look. She probably thought I was crazy. I slowly walked toward the desk in the far corner until the teacher said, “Yah. I guess you do sit in that seat,” She shrugged and giggled, “You’re a funny person aren’t you?”
“Who me? Nah! I’m just funny when I got to be,” I smiled and joked around with the teacher.
“What’s it like in a demon school being a human?”
“It’s pretty nice. Except one kid. He was being racist in history class against humans just because he’s a demon.”
“A panther,” someone blurted across the room.
“Yah! That kid who just blurted!”
The teachers face turned serious, “You need to have more respect for other kids who may not be panthers, Galloo.”
I looked back at the glaring boy named Galloo.
“He’s in every class of mine,” I stated.
“Well then us teachers have to have a good eye on him,” The teacher nodded and made a HUMPH sound.

The bell rang for dinner. My teacher, Ms.Faubinns, walked up to me, “I think you should go to bed now.”
“But its dinner time isn’t it?”
“You have dinner at 1:30.”
“Why?”
“Didn’t you learn about the hidden hour in history class? When all humans freeze and the demons hunt for dinner. It’s called the hunting hour.”
“Oh yah! That!” I got up and packed all my stuff.
“You better hurry,” her voice softened, “you only have two minutes.”
I looked up at her face and then bolted out the room.
HOLY CRAP!! If I don’t make it out of the building in time, I could freeze up for an hour which feels like 60 seconds which...
I looked up at the clock, 12:58. I’m not going to make it. So I picked up the pace. I’m not going to make it. My eyes drifted up to the clock in front, 12:58. My hands stretched out to the double doors. I pushed the door open, I could feel the fresh night air, and I could hear...the 12:59 bell ring. The bell for dinner. I could feel my body freezing up to the time.

Chapter nine: it?
Slowly she crept out of the shadows of the trees. The bright moon light brightened her blue eye. She slowly lifted the hood of her coat over her head. Then she pounced off into the midnight sky.
Dawn stood inside bushes waiting on Rachel. She didn't know what time it was nor had any idea where Rachel was. All of a sudden, there was a rustle in the bushes.
Dawn looked behind her and there was a panther about to strike her. She rolled out of the bushes but a branch caught her ankle. The panther transformed into a large boy.
His fangs glew in the dark, his skin cptured the moon light, and his eyes gleemed. The boy licked his lips and whispered, "I'm going to tell all my friends that I had a rare meal, vampire with a hint of wolf," he popped his neck. Once his foot hit the ground, the girl from the trees stabbed her nails into his throat.
She pulled back on his neck and tore his head right off his body. She tossed his head away and kicked his body.
The moon all of a sudden got darker. Time was returning. Hunting was over.
A pack of demons came charging through the gates with their meals. They were shouting and hoo-ra-ing.

My eyes settled. I could see the demons charging to the doors. I quickly rolled out of the doors and into the shadows. As I watched the demons run into the school, I saw Dawn talking to a person in a cloak.
I got up and ran to Dawn.
"Who are you?" I asked that person.
"I am from your nightmares," they responded.
"Wait, you can't be that naked person in my dreams telling me to..."
"That's exactaly who I am. Do you remeber that a** hole in history class today? I killed him, bye!"
She jumped back into the shadows.
My jaw dropped. That couldn't realy be her...could it?

Chapter ten: Supplies!
I think that sometimes I’ve been seeing things. But this thing was something not just I saw but Dawn saw too. I looked empty and confused for a second until I realized that Dawn did see her and I wasn’t being a clueless fool .My thoughts were locked on that moment in time.
Dawn looked up at my awed face and did nothing but stare. It really made me feel LIKE a fool. Dawn’s eyes narrowed at my clenched fist, wondering if I would have attacked.
“It’s dinner time, better hurry back into the building,” Dawn warned.
“I’m skipping the last four hours of school. Don’t ask,” I replied in a dumb and tired voice. My main focus: SLEEP!
After walking around the dormitory, I finally memorized where my room was, of course, I couldn’t mistake or forget where the storage room is. That’s where Dawn hides.
For some reason my face and head felt sore. I couldn’t walk straight. The carpet under my feet turned into a blob of darkness, the walls around me turned dark and narrow, the bed went farther and farther away from my reach. My legs got weak and failed with my body. Weak, limp, helpless, alone, and tired. The only thing I could wish for now was a soothing dream…NOT!

The same naked girl came crawling back to my feet. She started to screech so loud, my outside head felt like mush. I tried my hardest to cover my ears, but her screech pieced my ears. Then I screamed as loud as I could, “SHUT UP!”
At that moment the girl closed her mouth and gave me an empty look. Her eyes narrowed onto my pale face. I felt like noodles in a boiling pot of water. Damn did I feel terrible.
She popped her neck and knuckles. Then she pounced on top of me and started to heavy breathe, “Do you know what it feels like to be locked up by ‘F-3-400X-P and A’ for 12 hours, do you? No you don’t. Probably because you have NO! I bet you’ve never heard about this formula. It’s a drug that demons take to protect themselves from going insane,” she said under her breath. Her fangs started to grow in and her claws grew out while stabbing straight into my temples.
As she tore her nails out, she continued to speak; “F-3-400X-P and A means Formula Three—Four hundred times Protection and Antidote. And it makes the demons go crazy deep down inside. That’s why I’m pulling my nails straight…out…of…your…HEAD!” Her nails came flying from my face. I screamed as loud as I could. My headache was back from before.
As I tried to scramble to my feet, but once I got to my knees, I started to barf out my insides.

My body felt numb after barfing my intestines out in my dream, which by the way, I was doing in real life. I felt shaky and uneasy. Too bad the dragon Twin-Sests weren’t here to see this.
A second after that thought, the Twin-Sests ran into the room with cleaning supplies. OH NO! Dawn was locked inside the storage room…where they got the supplies!
PostPosted: Sun Sep 14, 2008 7:21 am

Chapter eleven: friends!
My head was throbbing and I felt like I had gotten whip-lash over one hundred times in less than three seconds. I wobbled back up to my bed. The two Twin-Sests helped me up and started to clean the floor with no problem.
“Did you see something strange inside the storage-“
“YAH! We did! It was this small girl cornered and hissing at us. So we reached in slowly then pulled out quickly. I felt like she was gonna eat my brain!” The other twin nodded with wide agreeing eyes.
“She’s my…little sister,” my voice cracked that very moment, so I cleared my throat.
“Really? You’re a vampire?” They leaned in on my. Their eyes locked onto me.
“No. She’s…well…It’s a LOOOONG story and I don’t have the energy to speak about it right now.”
Their eye brows lowered and a frown sculpted their faces. Damn it!!
“Okay, okay, I’ll tell,” I cleared my throat again and scooted over to make room for them, “I was locked up in the institute and all of a sudden she ran in my room screaming bloody murder. Then I found out where I was, big men ran in, knocked me out, and then I had this creepy dream where this person told me to go kill people with a gun…so I did so when I woke up. THEN, I had to fall off the roof, and end up being swept into the clouds by her. She flew me here and BAHM! Here I am,” I let out a long sigh and fiddled with my fingers.
“WOOOOOOOOW!! You’re AMAAAZIIING!!!” They clasped their hands, eyes lit up, and smiles were from ear to ear in amazement.
I guess I am…amazing.
Abruptly, Dawn came charging into the room, “YOU’RE SO--“ what cut her off was the Twin-Sests staring at her. She thought she had been caught.
“Don’t worry, you can trust them. And their names are…” I paused staring at them blankly.
“Rena and Tina!” They smiled at us and nodded.
“Yes the Twin-Se—twin girls who I share this room with,” I pointed and smiled politely.
Dawn sighed with relief, “Well any ways, I have some bad news. I was listening in on two teachers’ conversation, one demon and one human. They wanted Rachel Foster to get a human schedule. So you better pick it up at the front before all hell breaks loose between you and the school. Just be glad that it’s eleven and there is a human lady working.”
“Wait, hold up! How are you two awake when you’re supposed to be asleep?” My head jolted to the Twin-Sests.
“Well, if you studied dragons, you’d know that dragons only need three hours of sleep. We go to bed after school ends at five in the morning. We heard you barfing after a few hours of dressing up. Now we’re here.”
I was actually glad that Rena and Tina were here. My mind registered the fact that I’ll call them by their names and not Twin-Sests. I decided to stop.
“Alright Dawn. Let’s get my schedule and come back to hang out with our new friends,” I turned and smiled at them. They winked at us. What was cool about their wink was, Rena winked with her left eye and Tina winked with her right eye.
Yah, I said new friends. Let me rephrase that, our ONLY friends!

Chapter twelve:effect
It didn’t matter anymore to me. I got all the info I needed in my journalism class the next day. The teacher wouldn’t shut up about how the girl went missing. Her main objective was getting us to focus…well it worked. When you’re talking about a missing demon student, the whole class is going to pay attention.
My dream last night reminded me of my favorite song “Disturbia by Rihanna”. The girl was locked in a cage and she was going insane. Then my brain played that song for background music. Have you ever had those types of dreams before?
Anyway, my teacher was obsessed with this project. I just sat there like whaaaat eveerr! The teacher noticed my empty gaze,
“You okay?”
“Yah, it’s just that I’ve seen her before,” my voice softened a bit.
The teacher stepped closer to me, “Whaaaaaaaat!!!!! Where? How?”
“It was on this campus and she just…came,” I shrugged.
“Wait a minute how do I know you’re not lying?”
“She calls to me like the wind; she looks to me like the stars. She looks as if a reflection; she is calling to me. Sometimes I wonder if she’s still waiting…or if I’m too little too late. She’s living in MY nightmare, making it OUR nightmare. This could be YOUR nightmare aswell.”
The teacher stared blankly at me with his jaw dropped. My hands clasped together and then I looked up at him. He cleared his throat and begin to ask me more questions (sadly),
“Well then it was just a dream,” he sighed and turned. But I was stubborn and refused to end this conversation, “she CAME in the hunting hour.”
He turned to me quickly, “it’s either you’re a human or not!”
“I am human. I saw her after the hunting hour. My…her little sister would have been killed if she hadn’t come. Too bad they don’t remember the relationship. You now, lost memory. Maybe she remembers but I know her sister had no clue,” my eyes narrowed on this guy. If he’d turn again, I’s rip his throat out. But he stayed and spoke to me,
“How do you know that their, in specific, related?”
“She was in my nightmare; remember I told you that already!” My voice got firmer. I’m getting really angry at him.
“Why did she tell you?”
My head started to throb again. Damn this guy. All he did was PESTER PESTER PESTER!!
“Context clues! Use em’! You’re a journalism teacher, so act like it. Geez. The nerve,” I lowered my voice once I got to saying Gees. Then I pounded my fingers into my temples.
This teacher was more aggravating then my cat Witchet; and her litter of kittens. The teacher looked down at me with a furious face; his cheeks were all red after being told off like that.
“Well then Rachel. You tell the class about your cute little poem fro earlier. You know, the ‘she sees me as my star’ or whatever,” he became much more firm.
“DO YOU WANT TO HEAR ABOUT MY MESSED UP LIFE AND HOW I WAS PUT IN THE INSTUTUDE AND NOW I HAVE MAJOR BRAIN DAMAGE?!?! HUH, IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT?! I’M SICK OF PEOPLE ASKING ME WHAT HAPPENED! MY MOM IS BACK AT HOME CRYING HER EYES OUT WONDERING WHERE THE HELL I AM! THEY COULD TELL HER I WAS IN A CLASS ROOM FULL OF JERK TEACHERS WHO PICK ON HER 24/7! THEN THEY’D TELL HER I SHARE A ROOM WITH TWIN-SESTS! IS THAT THE KIND OF THING MY MOTHER WANTS TO HEAR AFTER HER HUSBAND DIED AND HER DAUGHTER DISSAPEARED?! SHE HAS A BABY BOY AT HOME WHO LOVES ME AND IS PROBUBLY RIGHT NOW CRYING BECAUSE HIS SISTER IS MISSING…AND MAY NEVER COME BACK! HE DOESN’T EVEN UNDERSTAND WHAT DEATH IS, SO HE WILL NEVER KNOW WHERE HIS FATHER WENT. WHO KNOWS WHAT MAY BE GOING ON WITH MY MOM AND BROTHER! THEY COULD BE DEAD!!” I yelled at the teacher.
My head throbbed. Tears were sliding down my cheek and my hands were smacked onto my desk; pulling me out if my seat and yelling in the teachers face.
His face went blank; all eyes on me, and my body stunned its self. I felt the feeling of being rocked back and forth. Suddenly I fell back words. All I could see was fire crackers going off and then, BHAM! Whole world went black. I hated this effect.
