The Black Veil:
Also known as the "Thirteen Rules of Community". Composed by Michelle Belanger, Father Todd Sebastian and COVICA, this is a set of 13 common-sense guidelines for the Sanguinarium as well as the vampire community. It deals with such things as responsibility, etiquette, feeding practices, the lifestyle, discretion, etc. The Black Veil has undergone several major revisions since its first incarnation in 1997 in attempts to be made more applicable and palatable to the real vampire community and not just the Sanguinarium; in 2003, it was revised once again and cut down to just seven tenets.

Thank you for the explanation, Inuza, I understand it better now. I'm curious- you mention that the Veil has been altered somewhat to be applicable to the real vampire community, not just the Sanguinarium. Does this mean that the Sanguinarium is not a real vampire community? Or did the target audience of these guidelines stay the same, and simply widen in scope? Please forgive my ignorance- I've only had the lightest brush with the vampire community.

I beleive in it all.

I know for a fact that otherkin exist.. and as far as the res of it goes well if you want to know you're just gonna have to ask me wink

so...at the expense of seeming REALLY ignorant (or thick, take your pick) someone is going to go through this very simply for me.

the jist i get is that the Black Veil are a series of rules for the vampire community and the Otherkin are vampires.

does that include other supernatural being like werewolves too???

i hope that i've got the vague jist please correct me if i'm way off.
