Scary Story Time! Let's tell a scary story! I'll start it, and you continue it. Just tell part of the story and leave room for the next person to pick up where you leave off!


It was trick-or-treat time! The moon was full, and the kids were ready to go out into the night. Joe was dressed as a vampire, and he was ready to scare and be scared. He peered out the front room window to see if his friends were coming down the street to meet him. What he saw made him jump a foot. There were eyes staring at him through the darkness!

The eyes glowed with an eerie green light, Joe's breath was heavy and he clutched his hands to his heart. Quickly his finger found the light switch and flipped it to the ON position. To his delight the front yard filtered with the brightness from the porch. A sigh escaped his lips when he saw that the eyes really belonged to....

his friend Fred's cat. Fred had brought King Whiskers because he was black, and Fred hoped to scare some kids. Fred was dressed as Dracula. Sue trooped up behind him, dressed as a witch, and said, "Are you ready, Freddie?" and giggled. Suddenly, a scream broke through the night. It sounded like...  

[Moonracer]

...a woman screaming in absolute terror. This blood curdling scream reverberated threw to their very souls shaking them and causing fear to grip them firmly in its grasp. Then the scream suddenly stopped cut short with a faint gurgling noise following it for only a moment before nothing. The scream had been coming from right next door. Joe looks at his friends....

and laughs, "Where did you guys get the cool sound FX?" They both stare at him, and Fred says, "Dude, we didn't rig up anything like that." The three of them stared out into the darkness and waited. There were no other sounds, so they slowly made their way down the porch steps. "Well, we should get started, I guess," said Sue. But nobody moved. Suddenly the bushes at the end of the yard started shaking violently!

Suddenly a howling sound came from the bushes as they shook. Whatever could it be?? Sue gripped tightly to Fred's shirt, her eyes widening when a tall slim figure began to rise from the bushes.

It's arms draped down and it's long sharp fingernails scrapped across the ground as it stepped towards them. It let out a strange howl once more and raised a bag high into the hair. With a tiny voice it called out to them...

"Ha!! Scared you!" shouted Little Ben. The 8-year-old peeked out from under his massive costume and shut off the tape recorder he had been playing. "Ben! You creep! Was that you making all those weird screams and stuff?" asked Fred. Ben grinned and swished the long arms of his costume around. "Let's go," sighed Joe. A wolf howled in the night, and Sue snapped, "Cut it out, Ben!" But Ben held up his tape recorder; it was turned off. Down the street, a four-legged shadow started moving toward them. Fred's cat hissed and jumped out of his arms, disappearing into the night.

...Sue put on a brave front, "Oh this is getting old quick" but her body trembled slightly as fear began to grip her again. She grabs hold of Fred's arm out of fear as the four-legged shadow crept closer to them, "Sally is that you?" However, the shadow didn't answer, but just walked into another shadow that was cast by a tree and seemed to vanish. Ben blinks, "Uh...did you guy's see that?" Then from behind them in more shadows bushes rustled...

The group of friends seemed to jump in unison upon hearing the rustling from the bushes. "Who.....who...who's there?" Sue's voice trembled as she fished into her costume to find a flashlight. Another strange howl rose from the bushes and slowly the four-legged shadow appeared again this time crawling from the bushes. The young Ben let out a horrified scream, the long arms of his costume clinging tightly to Joe now. "What.....is that??" Joe stammered....

"It...it's just a neighborhood dog..." stammered Fred hopefully. But the creatures eyes glowed red, and drool dripped from its fangs. It let out a horrible growl and lunged at them. As one, the kids all backed off the porch steps, kicking and screaming as they fell in one pile on the ground. The creature howled and snapped at them. A cloud passed over the moon, covering them all in pitch darkness.

...in shear terror the group of terrorized kids scrambled to get away from the creature that snapped at them. Little Ben screamed as he tried to keep up with the bigger kids, "It's gone mad!!!" As they rounded a blind corner they slammed into what felt like a brick wall....

Looking up, they stared into the soulless eyes of what appeared to be a Frankenstein monster. It moaned dully and reached for them slowly. Backing away, they heard the wolf creature approaching behind them, snarling loudly. Splitting into two groups, half of them ran to the left, and the other half ran to the right. There were no other people on the street, and the monsters chased them to either end of the block.

The monsters roared and howled out into the night, each following it's own set of the group.

Not far from where they'd been standing, a short old man dressed in a princess costume giggled and wiggled his fingers together. "Genius! Now these fools will fall directly into my trap!!" The old man spoke harshly as he watched.
