I DO!!, I DO!!, ugh they get on my nerves, like a n00b BRAWL player who always seems to win even though they have never played it before. or other fighting games, where there are so many combinations you have no way of predicting their moves...

theres nothing wrong with people who get frustrated while playing and mash a couple buttons just to see what happens, but when people find a move thay like and continue to do that move, over and over it really gets annoying...

how about you? has anyone ever gotten pissed of at someone who uses the same move over and over again? but you can never seem to counter it?

If you can't find a way to counter it, who's the real noob? xd Sorry, I just love that answer. It's kind of true, though. Someone who doesn't know what they're doing should rarely beat someone who does, especially if they're cheesing one move. I should know, I'm a high ranking officer of the button-masher army.

STOP CHEESIN' THE FIREBALL
But really, button mashing in Brawl? It seems like the one fighting game where that wouldn't help you win. That said, I don't like other fighting games much. xd

Yeah, but usually it's very easy to beat button mashers. One of my cousins always uses Pikachu and is always just using Pikachu's side B. She doesn't even charge it. I can just stand there and she'll accidentally commit suicide until I win. XD

I agree with what Trenn said, actually.
If you can't counter button mashing. =/
Sorry

But, see, if they don't know what they're doing, you just have to hope they pick the right characters
Lucas. Mashing just donesn't work
Snake is in that same category

Mario and Kirby, though, they fall under the "Good for mashers" category

I got Castlevania Judgment for Christmas. It's not THAT great a game, but you can't mash and win that game. Maybe a few fights on easy, but until you learn the controls, it's tough.
(Btw, I do like that game, for the reason that you can dress up your characters with items you've won. Imagine seeing Alucard in an Purple top hat, with a Heart Eye-patch. Man, it's fun)

think of all the fighting games with the letter Z in the name.

how many of those are button mashers.

I thought so.

FIXED.

Seriously, it's probably the most broken genre of gaming.

Play as Pikachu.

Down b down b down b down b

I guess that's move spamming more than button mashing, but still.

DBZ fighting games actually have counters for button mashing, like the teleporting. Budokai 3 did at least. I don't know/care about the Tenkaichi games.

edit: just to make things clear, I LOVE Brawl. I just think that it's more fun when you play with someone who doesn't move spam. It's like Snaking in MK. It's completely fair, but no fun to play against.

Button Mashing....Not really an issue. It should even be easier to beat them ....SPAMMING THOUGH IS HELL!! Examples...

Sonic.....B
R.O.B...Projectiles
Chain Grabs.....Annoying but I must admit FUN AS HELL!!
Pikachu....Do I really have to explain?
Olimars....I keep getting grabbed and his Grabs seem uber to me
Captain Falcon...FALCON PINCH(Though its fun to see one of them land)

And a whole lot of other examples. I say Spamming is worse than button mashing.

I think that Soul Calibur would fall in the button mash category. You just randomly push buttons and you get a combo out of nowhere. My cousin usually does that and wins.

I can't think of a fighting game that I've played other than Smash Brothers that can't be considered a button masher. Wayne's right, it's a fairly broken genre.

If you give your 360 control to your dog and you're playing Soul Calibur, he'll probably win.

Soul Calibur is basically just this:

Guy 1: "How do I win? How do I win?!?"

LoA: "Bash the ******** controller against your knee..."

EDIT: I have the Wii version of DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 2. I've found that that button mashing on that game does little to help you.
