Coloring vs Lines

I was wondering if there was much of a difference in healing between colors in tattoos and lines.

You see, in my new tattoo (the one in my profile "rawr") on my tongue there is a color with a line in the middle, the color is almost perfect but the line is raised almost like its scabbing. This is the first time Ive ever had color in a tattoo so I was curious razz

There actually is a difference. I got my first line only tattoo done just 2 weeks ago and it was healed by the sunday. But it may just be me. Most color tattoos take at least 2 to 6 weeks to fully heal.

I think perhaps it's because of the repetitive going over the color or shaded work.

Ya thats what I could have thought too, but its the line thats taking time to heal, the color is almost perfect even right now.
