Akamatsu-sensei & Final Fantasy

Okay, this is just an observation I've made from reading the entire series of mangas from both Love Hina and A.I. Love You, but is it just me, but does Akamatsu-sensei seem to put references to Final Fantasy in just about every series he writes? I remember in Vol. 13 of Love Hina, he made a reference to Kimahri's "Lancet" ability during a fight between Keitaro and Motoko. Then, in Vol. 8 (I believe) of A.I. Love You, some kid makes a remark while watching Saati in a battle on a big screen, "Look, Mommy. She's fighting Sephiroth!" I'm beginning to suspect he's a big fan of the series.

i also believe he is an Evangelion fan., in the novel naru yells at him who told you to go all shinji on me obviusly refering to the original emo lol and then when kietaro has the day dream about him an mutsumi having a kid mutsumi calls her ritsuko :3

I believe the references in Negima are more subtle, but very numerous.

I remember at Fanime last year that a group of panelists mention that Ken Akamatsu did at least one doujin of Final Fantasy VII. I saw some of the images & was like Yeah. That's Shinobu dressed like Yuffie.
