Alright. Two years ago I saw an idea flittering about deviantart by chance.
This idea was none other than the OC tournament concept.
Where writers or artists portray their characters in competition with one another. Being one who started Byako for the chance to see characters of all sorts and imaginations meet and mingle, I imediently took to the idea and spent much time plotting how to make it work.
Then, Febary 1st of 2008 I began the Byako Round Robin.
A competition with a round robin style and 48 participants. Many people left but more came in and the tournament continued to be a grand treat. We went through random events, costumed challenges and fun rounds.
Artists and writers who competed met, and exchanges notes. Talents developed and friendships were made.
Byako Round Robin had its fair share of catastrophes but by far the good outweighed the bad by far.
Then when the fifth round was over BRR reached its finals and I made a decision.
Why not begin another one? Create the second Byako Round Robin. A crazy idea at first but the more I thought about it the greater the idea appealed to me.
So I started work on it and put things together. I decided to set BRR2 in a new section of Byako, the Evil Empire. Because my ambition for Byako was to great to be stopped by rationality or reason.
On March 1st BRR2 Began with again, 48 Partipants. A strange stroke of luck that I am still in awe over.
Much time later and here we are. BRR is on its tenth round and BRR2 is on its second.
What will happen next? Who can say. I have a dream of a Byako League in the future but at present it is mere idea. Bold as I am even I do not dare to attempt managing aa league on top of the two guilds and the two art tournaments.
No. Instead I shall wait and bide my time. One day Byako shall be a league on Devianrt and perhaps I wall make a third round robin. For now things are moving along well and the entrants are enjoying themselves which is all thats really important after all.
