So.....all day Sunday my lights kept flickering. No storms//bad weather so I knew it could not be that. Then around eh..Midnightish....I was getting ready to go take a shower & heard this loud pop sound. I went out into the hallway and it was filled with smoke. None of the lights would come on. After a few seconds the light in the hallway flicked back on and there was smoke everywhere. :/
Apparently an outlet & the breaker for my office & my bedroom had blown and caught a power strip on fire. gonk
Everyone is okay, no one hurt at all. :3 Sorry to say, the power strip & a little bit of carpet was ...well...not very savable. xD!
The electrician came today but there isn't much he can do for the moment since it's raining & will be raining for a few days still. They swapped out the breakers for a new set, and it's working but not very well at all. I've currently moved my computer out into the kitchen.

Ouch!
Glad no one was hurt. I've never heard of something like that though. Our house has crappy wiring. It might happen here one day. (i'm surprized it hasn't happened sooner)

Actually back in February we had a big ice storm and our entire cities electric was out for a while. :/ It was pretty sucky.
LOL! Working on my computer in the kitchen & cleaning is about all the work I do in here. surprised ! My husband cooks, it's safer that way. xD

surprised Hey. That sounds yummy. Are you talking about the no-bake ones or ones you have to cook.
My stepmom used to make this so-very yummy cookies that were just oatmeal & peanut butter coated in chocolate. Ahhh, I want some now.

It's a no-bake (stove-top) 1 stick melted butter 2 cups sugar 1/3 cup cocoa 1/2 cup milk (once it starts bubbling, cook it for 3 mins) add 3 cups oatmeal (stir for another min) put it in a pan and let it cool until hard enough. (use pam spray on pan)

YES!! Those are the kind my stepmom used to make. But she'd add peanut butter sometimes too. 3nodding I love them. :3 I never make them because my husband hates them.

Your husband doesn't like chocolate oatmeal cookies? Just because he doesn't like them doesn't mean that you shouldn't have them. That doesn't seem fair. He probably does a lot of things you don't like.
I heard this once... Getting married doesn't mean giving up what you love. It means still being able to do those things... only having someone to share it with.
Lots of couples don't seem to know this saying.

Well, the point in that would be that if I were to make them...they'd go to waste. I'd only eat maybe one or two. He'd not eat any...so I'd have a bunch of cookies tossed in the trash.
I'd much rather not have something than to waste it. 3nodding <3

You don't know how to alter recipes? Just make 1/4 or 1/8 of what you normally would. That way, you can make just a few cookies, just for you. whee

Your both nuts...
Just put it in a sandwitch bag in the fridge and eat it later.
I do that all the time. (even with pizza)
Please don't tell me that you throw away everything extra. Haven't you ever kept stuff as "left-overs"
Not everything can be saved, true... But it's better to find out, then to waste so much food. crying (i weep for your wasted food)
