So i go to las Vegas Academy and our orchestra teacher decided that we play Schubert's Unfinished Symphony as one of our pieces this year at Festival.
He handed out the parts and my stand partner decides to look through it.
After a couple of seconds she puts it down and raises her hand.
She asks the teacher: " Mr.Reinarz, why are we only playing the first two movements?"
We all busted out laughing.
My stand partner is so slow. sweatdrop
So what about your stand partners.
I play violin.
Though my best friend is a cellist.

Once when I was in the school orchestra a long time ago, I played violin and my stand partner insisted on turning the pages. I recall 4 times she turned like 4 extrapages and kept playing. Now, that may not make her seem slow, but keep in mind, it was on the same piece of music that she did this. xp

I don't share a stand, I am one of the only first clarinets and they put me on the end of the row. I had a stand partner at one point, she was so anoying. She would steel the music off my stand, take the bell off my clarinet, she blew the music off my stand, she would even go into my clarinet case and steel my reeds. She drove me insane, and I am so glad that I am not her stand partner anymore.

i love my stand partner shes my best friend...but in our orchestra there are only us 2 violas and no offince to her im wayyyy better then her so its really hard trying to play our part and drag her along....on top of that she keeps saying how next yr shes going to quit...so its like what the point of draging her along now when shes just going to quit? its really annoying.

When I read the title I thought you meant your stand partner turned pages slow. biggrin
At school each stand gets one folder to share because there's not enough music to go around. My stand partner always steals the folder so that I can't practice. I guess we're rivals but I had no idea. lol

I have had soo many standpartners that drive meh crazy.. the latest one threw my music on the ground cause apparantly I was taking too long to turn the page, for her taste...
