Does anyone know anything about why Eternal Sailor Moon's skirt is yellow, red and black? I've always been wondering, I mean it doesn't have any relevance to anything. Could it be a tribute to Germany? Since Japan and Germany are pretty good friends? Or did Takeuchi just find that the best color combination? I'm so curious about it, does anyone know?

Yeah Navy makes more sense, it just looks black, or maybe is black in the anime. :3

I concur. The skirt is indeed Red, Yellow, and Dark Navy. Primary superhero colors. The change of color scheme is not only a stylistic choice but the inclusion of all three primary colors psycologically tells people that she is at her most powerful. While her skirts changed with every upgrade, until the eternal transformation they were always just blue. The drastic change signals that she has reached her peek and we have reached the end of the story that Naoko was trying to tell.
