Training a Fringe

I cut my fringe (and hair) myself, and I wonder if everyone else feels like longer hair is harder to train than short. You would think short hair would be harder, but, for as long as I've trained my emo fringe, it's never given me more trouble than now. emo

And would shorter bangs look okay with the length of my hair?
