http://img182.imageshack.us/img182/9426/seraphim6ox.jpgI drew this Tales of Symphonia style angel a couple of weeks ago after playing the game (if you have played it you may notice the wings are the same style as Yggdrasil's and the magic seal is similar to Sheena's when summoning spirits). It took quite a while to draw, trace in pen, scan, and then colour in Photoshop (which made a massive file since every separate is a separate layer). I did plan on doing a background too but it took long enough to make the rest so I didn't bother. Please tell me what you think of it and how I could improve it

The legs, feet, and hands look sort of stubby, i think you should work on those. And you're coloring as well. Therw should be more shading... like..where the elbows bend, the hair that touches his face...etc... good job though ^-^

Besides everything that ^ just said, the hands also look very disfigured.

center the face and keep each side of it symmetrical. It'll make a difference. Make the hair fall down, not float on top of his head. Remember that the top (connected) part of the ear stops at the top of the eye, and the bottom of the ear at the base of the nose. Study hands for a little bit, and practice drawing them. It will help your compisition, trust me.
If he's supposed to be looking up at us, his arms should be shorter and to make it look as if the arm isn't flat. Theres more, but I'll leave it at that.

Nice, but it just needs a bit of shading to give it depth and the hands need work, but hands are very difficult, it takes ages to learn how to do them well.

Other than what the others have said, the drawing in general is very flat. If you draw imagining that the limbs were round objects that overlap each other you'll achieve a better effect. try looking at the people you live and work with to see how their clothes move aswell, there is gravity affecting the fabric to creata fold which seem to be lacking here. The colour would look fine if the pic was right.
hope this helps and that I'm not to harsh.

It's pretty good, especially the cel-shading!
I'd like to point out the proportioning of the hands, legs, head and overall body of the person. It really helps just looking at your own hand or foot to get an idea of shape ^-^
Shading would've helped a lot. The person blends in with the background a little bit. If you added shading to the person, they might have stuck out a bit more.
Other than that the color is fabulous and its a great picture. 3nodding

I had alot of trouble on hands when I started out. Try drawing your own hand a few times. It helps alot.
