Please note: That everyone doesn't like rules. I know. I know. I don't really like rules, either. But then again, who doesn't? Keep in mind, we have to have rules in place, so there won't be any type of mass confusion... and a possible guild uprising or something. (O_o' I hope that doesn't happen.). Just please, follow them. ^^

|_The General Guild Rules_|

• Keep in mind that this is a PG-13 guild...

• No one can be a main character from the anime nor manga... unless you are given permission to do so.

NO Godmodding. Godmodding is a bannable offense in the guild. If you get caught G-Modding at least three times, you will be banned.

• If you can't G-Mod, you can't Auto-hit, either. Autohitting is a form of play in which a player, while in battle, attacks an opponent and forces a player to take the hit by describing it in their posts. Basically, it's the act of forcing your opponent to do something without giving them time to respond.
-Captains and other leading characters CAN do this to lower ranking characters if they FEEL they need to.
-Autohitting can NOT result in a character death without given permission from the RP'er that is playing the character.


• You can have 3 characters or less. Each have to be of a different race. You no longer have to have a mule to have separate characters. Instead, you can RP these characters on the same account.

Animal-like [or anthro] characters are allowed in the guild. If you have an anthro RPC, it does not mean they are stronger than the regular shinigami and what not. They would simply have ONE enhanced characteristic [such as speed, sight, etc.] The thing is, only a select few can have these RPC's...

• There CAN be Vizards in the guild. This group is only for a select group. Keep in mind, the Vizard group will be a group of literate roleplayers with limited space. If you want to apply for the Vizard Group, just post a profile in the subforum or you can send it to me via PM.

• You can RP as Human characters as well. [I suppose this is a bit old]

Your RPC is not invincible! In a fight your RPC WILL accumulate damage, do not simply avoid every attack thrown at you.

• Please post your profile in the profile sub forum before beginning to role play. Simply post a new thread with your RPC’s name as the title of the thread and also what race the RPC is. And also, it has to be approved of before you start to RP anywhere within the guild.

If you are going to be on extended leave from your Squad, please let your Squad Captain know. If you are going to be inactive for a period of time and you don't let your Squad Captain know, they are obligated to remove your rank upon your in-activeness. So, be sure and tell them about your absence! =D

All squads have different Specialties. Try applying to a squad that you believe matches your character and please listen to the Captain and Vice Captain of the squad.

Each squad is independent from each other. There will be Guild Plots that allow the squads to cooperate with each other.

No Squad Hopping. That means that you cannot suddenly up and change squad just because you don't like it. It's almost as though you are stuck with the squad. If you DO want to change squads, you can request a transfer from your Squad Captain. It is up to the Captain to approve of your requests.

If you want to advertise your guild, please PM the GC. Don't advertise it in the main forum, unless stated otherwise.

The use of Bakkutou is not allowed. If you use the Bakkutou, you WILL die. No doubt about it.

• Guild officers have final say in all disputes.

• Follow all Gaia guild and Gaia forum rules. Failure to do so will be immediate banning and [If serious enough] a report to Gaia Mods from us.

• Never disrespect Captains, Vice Captains or higher ranking officers.

• Please respect others and do not cause unneeded drama

• Anyone found helping another to be disrespectful to others will be reprimanded accordingly

• Captains will warn you if you have stepped out of line

• Any further problems and the guild Vice Captain or Captain will contact you.

• If you have been warned by the guild Vice Captain or Captain and are still causing problems you WILL be banned.

|_Powers and Abilites_|

• Alrighty. Here is the Powers and Abilities. When you first start out in the guild, you start at the lowest rank. This applies to all races. You can soar through the ranks by good RP’ing ability and with the development of your RP character.

For The Shinigami: All knew Shinigami start off with a regular Zanpaku-to, kidou’s 1-10, and basic training in the four basic aspects of a Shinigami. (This includes Hakudou, Zanjutsu -Swordsmanship-, Kidou, Hoho-Speed and Endurance-)

Shunpo (Flash Step) is a special ability restricted ONLY to Vice Captains and Captains. Special authorization from the Guild Captain or Guild Vice Captains is needed to be trained in Shunpo for anyone else.

For the Arrancar: New Arrancar start off as Numeros. The Arrancar are ranked from 11-99. This is based on the order of their creation. You start off with Hogyudou’s up to 17. Being new, you do not start off with your resurrection and you must have it taught to you by a higher ranking member of your ranks.

For the Bount: As a new Bount, you don’t possess a doll. In order to gain a doll, you must have the Bount Leader perform a ritual so it can be created.

For the Quincy: New Quincy are simply humans that can some how link their family back to the Ishida clan. They carry a Quincy cross and know of what they are but have yet to form a bow. The bow can be easily learned with the use of the Quincy cross and help from a higher ranked Quincy, preferably B ranked or above.

For the Humans: If you are a new human, you don’t realize that you have any powers. You’ll be able to sense stuff, but to really unlock your powers you might have to go through some kind of event to unlock your abilities. You can be trained by a Shinigami, Quincy, or even by other Humans that have unlocked their ability.

|_The Definition Of Terms_|

•Arrancar: A Menos level hollow that has managed to break their mask in some way, allowing them to gain Shinigami powers. Some arrancar can be created by the Hogyudo

•Auto-hitting: Stating that you have hit your opponent without giving them the chance to react.

•Bejahrt: Leader of the Quincy

•Bankai: The Final and Powerful release of a Shinigami or Vizard’s Zanpaku-to.

• Bount: Bounts live off of human souls, which in turn gives them everlasting youth. Each Bount has a doll which is the equivalent of a Shinigami's zanpakutou. Instead of taking the form of a weapon, dolls normally transform into humanoid creatures based of an element when called upon by their masters.
Fukutaicho: Japanese for Vice Captain.

•Godmodding: is the action of role playing with a character that cannot be hurt in battle, avoids all attacks and can kill another RPC in a single blow or without express consent from the other player. This is the single worst thing that you can do while role playing....Some higher ranking characters may seem to be godmodding to lower ranked characters, but that is because there is often a vast difference in power levels and skills in the players RPC's.

•Hakudou: The same as Hakada, is hand to hand combat, there is absolutely no use of weapons.

•Hoho: Using reiatsu to cause effects with the feet, such as shunpo or standing in the air.

Jigokuchou: "Hell Butterfly," the black and red butterfly messengers of Soul Society. They do not carry anything like letters or hand written messages, but rather are more telepathic and transfer the message directly into the mind of the intended person through touch.


•Kidou: "Demon Arts," are used by Shinigami to augment their own powers. Kidou is made of two seperate forms called Bakudou and Hadou. Bakudou are defensive or binding techniques, while Hadou are offensive techniques.

•Menos: Consists of three classes of high ranking hollows. The first class if formed when a congregation of low level hollows amasses and forms into one large hollow called a Gillian. Gillian are the largest form of Menos and are all identical until they gain enough power to transition into the next form of Menos called Adjucha (Ah-d-ju-ka). Adjucha are medium sized Menos and are much stronger than Gillian. Each has a distinct appearance and personality. Very few Adjucha go onto the next stage of Menos called a Vasstro Lodos or Vast Lords. Vasstro Lodos are the smallest of the Menos and have a humans shape and size. They are rare and far between because of how much energy and effort it takes to become one.

•NPC: "Non-Playable Character." Some of these characters may be used in the guild.

•OOC: "Out of Character," these are interactions between players that take place on OOC threads or in ,((<--blank--> wink ), double parenthesized conversations in RP threads. OOC should be kept to a minimum in RP threads but is generally allowed as long as you RP in the same post.

•Player: The person behind the computer, not the RPC.

•Reiatsu: "Spiritual Pressure" is what a soul exerts. All souls have some sort of reiatsu whether they are aware of it or not, whereas stronger souls exert more reiatsu which can overwhelm and paralyze weaker souls.

•Reishi: "Spirit Particles" make up the air and objects around your RPC. For example, only Earth's air seems to be made of reishi, while in Soul Society, air, plants and buildings are made of reishi. Reiatsu is also a form of reishi, but condensed and tied specifically to one soul.

•RP: "Role Play or Role Playing" any action you do with your RPC.

•RPC: "Role Play Character" is the character you create for use in the guild.

•Shihakushou: A Japanese word referring to the entire Shinigami uniform. Seperately, the top of the Shihakushou is the Kosode and the bottoms are called Hakama.

•Shikai: "First Release" a Shinigami invokes the name of their zanpakutou and usually a short phrase that causes their blade to take on a new form and powers.

•Shunpo: "Flash Step" is the rapid movement from one point to another by taking a single step. Depending on the Shinigami, shunpo can be used just for speed or for also traveling long distances.

•Sonido: "Echo Stepping" is the equivalent of shunpo but used specifically by Arrancar.

•SPAMing: Posting any type of unauthorized advertisement or unrelated topic multiple times in the guild threads.

•Squad Captain: The leader of and individual squad in the Gotei 13. Squad Captains must have Bankai and are generally the strongest Shinigami in Soul Society.

•Squad Officers: Are ranked members of squads from third seat down. These may have Shikai and a range of kidou skills.

•Squad Vice Captain: The main assistant to the Squad Captain, they may have abilities such as Bankai, shunpo and high level kidou.

•Vizard: Are Shinigami that have undergone the Hollofication process and have gained the powers of a Hollow. As Vizard's they carry an inner Hollow that can possess them without proper training. All Vizard's must have a mask and may not use their Hollow powers unless they are wearing it over their face. Only Captains and Vice Captains may become vizards.

•Zanpakutou: "Soul Slayer" is a sword that is infused with reishi that allows it to damage souls. Zanpakutou generally have 3 seperate forms:

1. Unreleased or Sealed Form: a Shinigami's unique and unnamed sword.
2. Shikai: a Shinigami's unique and named sword with the ability to release to a stronger form.
3. Bankai: a Shinigami's unique and named sword with the ability to release a second time to yet another even stronger form.

|_Shikai and Bankai Restrictions_|

•Seriously, no new member of the guild will have Shikai to start with. We don’t have a time limit as to when you can achieve your Shikai, it is all up to your Captain.
•Before you can get Shikai, you would need to completely work out what it does before you train for it.
•If you want Shikai, you will have to ask your Captain, Vice-Captain, or an someone who is qualified to teach you your Shikai.

•Bankai is restricted to Captains, Vice-Captains, and the Vizard. Under certain circumstances can a third seat achieve Bankai. Captains can train their own Vice Captains in Bankai with the approval of the Guild Captain and/or Guild Vice Captains. Anyone training for Bankai must have their Final Release worked out completely worked out. This ranges from how it works right down to what the weaknesses are.
•If you are trying fo Bankai, you will be required to submit a form to your Squad Captain who will then submit it to the Crew for reviewing.

|_The Mod Souls_|

• Modified souls (改造魂魄, kaizō konpaku), more commonly referred to as Modsouls, are artificial souls designed to enhance regular human physiology, making them capable of battling Hollows equally. Shinigami and Vaizards are able to obtain ModSouls from Squad 12 and other authorized retailers on Earth. Mod-Souls can only have one ability such as enchanced speed or etc. If you have a Mod Soul, fill out then following form and insert it into your profile.

|_Vizard Rules and Restrictions_|

• To become a Vizard, your character must be at least Vice-Captain level AND achieve Bankai. Once you have been turned into a Vizard through the Hollowfication process, you will be banished from the Soul Society.
• All Shinigami Characters are kept by the Vizard (Shikai, Bankai, Shunpo, etc.) along with their new abilities as a Vizard (Cero, etc.). Regular Shinigami abilities may be amplified as well.
• While the mask is manifested, that is when you can use your powers. If you mask isn't manifested, you can't. :
• The Vizard Group are a loose organization that is headed by one or two leaders.


Powers and Abilities are determined by rank:

C Ranked Vizard: A Vizard that is newly created just after the Hollofication process.
Abilities Held: Cero, Negacion, and Sonido.
B Ranked Vizard: A Vaizard whose power is equal to an Adjucha.
Abilities Held: Cero, Negacion, Sonido, Garganta, and Bala.
A Ranked Vizard: A Vizard that is able to use Gran Rey Cero and create one new variety of Cero specifically for their use, also their inner hollow is equivalent in power to a Vast Lord.
Abilities Held: Cero, Negacion, Sonido, Garganta, Bala, and Grand Rey Cero.
S Ranked Vizard:A Vizard that has mastered all other abilities and is now able to control their inner hollow, now as powerful as an Arrancar, well enough to enter into resurrection form.
Abilities Held: Cero, Negacion, Sonido, Garganta, Bala, Grand Rey Cero, and Resurrection.




• The Vizards have the abilities that Arrancar have. The avaliable abilities that a Vizard can use is as follows:

Bala: (虚弾(バラ), Bara; Spanish for "bullet") is an Espada alternative to the cero. The technique hardens the user's spiritual pressure and fires it like a bullet from their fist. It is seriously weaker than a normal cero, it moves about twenty times faster and can be fired at a much higher rate, but the damage is much the same.
Cero: (虚閃(セロ), Sero; Spanish for "zero") are high-powered energy blasts that can be fired from various body parts, such as mouth, tongue, horns, hand or fingers. Only Menos, Arrancar, and the Vizards have so far been shown to use cero attacks, and it appears that stronger entities can use it more efficiently.
Garganta: (黒腔(ガルガンタ), Garuganta; Spanish for "throat") is how Arrancar and Menos class hollows move to and from Hueco Mundo. Tousen Kaname and Urahara Kisuke have also demonstrated the ability to use the technique. It literally tears open the dimensional fabric separating the worlds, revealing a tunnel of whirling, torrential energy that must be focused and solidified to create a discernible pathway.
Hierro: (鋼皮(イエロ), Hiero; Spanish for "iron") refers to the hardened skin of the Arrancar, which is a result of their compressed spiritual power. While their skin is strong enough to block even released Zanpakutou bare-handed, it is by no means impenetrable. Stronger Arrancar have proportionally stronger skin.
Negación: (反膜(ネガシオン), Spanish for "negation") fields are used to rescue fellow hollows. Only the Gillian-class Menos have shown the ability to use it. Negación fields surround a target in a square beam of light that isolates the target from the dimension they are currently in, making it impossible to harm them.
Pesquisa: (探査回路(ペスキス), Pesukisa; Spanish for "inquiry") is the Arrancar equivalent of the Shinigami ability to sense Spiritual Pressure. It functions similar to sonar.
Sonído: (響転(ソニード), Sonīdo; Spanish for "sound") is the Arrancar equivalent of the Shinigami flash steps and the Quincy Hirenkyaku; it allows the user to travel at incredibly high speeds for short distances. Use of Sonído is punctuated by a brief static sound, in contrast to the "swish" sound used for flash steps.

|_Quincy Rules and Restrictions_|

• New members of the Quincy can start out as a Human that with the innate ability to manipulate the spiritual pressure around them or they can start out as someone related to the Ishida bloodline. This is simply your choice.
• The Quincy Bejahrt or anyone the Bejahrt thinks that is 'qualified' will teach you how to form the first version of your bow... Which, initially, isn't going to be all complex. The likely scenario of your initial bow would be an unstable reishi bow that can fire simple arrows of reishi.
• As you all might know, Quincy have a range of accessories and techniques that you will need to master, as a Quincy, to rise up through the ranks. >.< So, good luck with that. XD

_A List of Quincy Abilities, Weapons, and Accessories_

• Hollow Bait: This item is a small, coin-shaped disk that attracts hollows when crushed.
• Quincy Bangle: (装身具, sōshingu) — The Quincy Bangle is an artifact designed to mimic a Quincy's natural powers. It works by drawing in spirit particles from the environment, much like a Quincy does regularly. It can only be used properly by those who are already adept at forming and directing spirit particles. When activated, it forms a metal bow on the user's hand and gives them an appropriate Quincy outfit to match. The bangle is an unstable and delicate device, which eventually falls apart with extended use. The bow it creates has a huge drawback in that spirit particles must be gathered and charged to be of any use; doing otherwise greatly weakens the power of the resultant projectiles. The arrows also seem to fire erratically, sometimes curving away from their intended target. Furthermore, if shot at the time when the device is at its maximum power, it could explode, killing the user and destroying anything else nearby.
• Quincy Cross: (滅却十字, mekkyaku jūji) — Standard equipment for any Quincy, the Quincy Cross acts as the focus for a Quincy bow. The cross need not necessarily be in a cross shape, as Ryūken's cross is a pentacle.
• Sanrei Glove: (散霊手套, sanrei shutō) — The sanrei glove is a powerful Quincy artifact that can increase a Quincy's power exponentially, but requires a dangerous and exhausting type of resistance training (wearing it for a week while constantly firing spiritual arrows) to master. The glove works by scattering the spirit particles in the surrounding area, making it much harder to form a working bow. If a Quincy can summon a bow and use it for the required amount of time, they will have undergone a massive increase in power. When removed, however, the glove will release the user's energy all at once - first transforming them into a being of tremendous strength, and then forcing their Quincy powers to gutter out completely.
• Seele Schneider: (魂を切り裂くもの(ゼーレシュナイダー), German for "soul cutter") — The Seele Schneider is a thin sword that can be fired similarly to an arrow. It's much longer than a standard arrow and functions something like a chainsaw: the spirit particles of its blade vibrate at ultra-high frequencies, loosening the molecular bonds between any spirit matter it cuts so that the Quincy user may easily absorb the freed spirit particles.
• Silver tubes: (銀筒, gintō) — Silver tubes are small liquid-filled capsules that store spiritual energy, and are used by Quincy for spellcasting in the same way that Shinigami use kidō.
• Soul-synthesized silver: (霊化銀, reika gin) — Soul-synthesized silver was used by Ryūken Ishida to construct the hidden chamber in which Uryū trains.
• Soul-synthesized glass: (霊化硝子, reika gurasu) — Like soul-synthesized silver, soul-synthesized glass was used to construct the hidden chamber in the Karakura Hospital.

_Gintou Techniques_

• Heizen: (聖噬, haizen; German for "heat") — This technique creates a transparent, rectangular beam of energy from silver tubes which slices through the opponent. It is activated by the command "Feel the wrath of battle and accept this sacred chalice - Sacred Bite!" (大気の戦陣を杯に受けよ)
• Gritz: (五架縛, gurittsu) — This technique forms a man-sized pentacle symbol which envelops its target. It is activated by the command "A silver rod strikes the five-fingered stone bed - Quintuple Restraining Frames!" (銀鞭下りて五手石床に堕つ)
• Volcore: (緑杯, vorukōru; German for "cloud") — This technique uses a silver tube to create a large blast. While it may not be intended for use as such, Uryū uses it to cushion the impact of a fall. It is activated by the command "Tilt the goblet to the west - Emerald Grail!" (盃よ西方に傾け)
•Sprenger: (破芒陣, supurengeru; German for "explosion") — This technique uses five Seele Schneiders to create a pentagram-shaped seal, which when activated causes a massive explosion within its borders. The Seele Schneiders function as accumulators, gathering the necessary amount of spirit particles to create the explosion. The liquid inside a silver tube acts as the trigger. The preparations for the technique combined with the charging time for the Seele Schneiders make its use in battle impractical unless the user has a partner that can stall to buy time.

_Special Quincy Techniques_


•Hirenkyaku: (飛廉脚; lit. "flying screen step/god step") — Analogous to the Shinigami flash steps or the Arrancar sonido, the Quincy Hirenkyaku allows the user to move quickly over short distances. To perform the technique, the user gathers spiritual particles under their feet and rides them to the desired location. Like the air-walking skill displayed by most Arrancar and Shinigami, it can also be used to hover or fly for long distances.
•Ransōtengai: (乱装天傀; lit. "heavenly wild puppet suit", "disheveled paradise puppet" in the Viz translation) — Ransōtengai is a high level technique that allows the user to control their body parts using strings of spirit energy controlled by their brain. By using this technique, the user can control their body as one would a puppet, allowing them to move freely despite paralysis, broken limbs, or any other force that would impede normal movement.

  • Unranked Quincy: A human related to the Ishida family with an innate ability to manipulate the reishi around them and carries a Mekkyaku Juuji (Quincy Cross).
  • C ranked Quincy: A Quincy that has been trained to form and use a rudimentary bow. They are able to fire multiple arrows in battle and may use Hollow Bait at anytime.
  • B ranked Quincy: A Quincy that has begun training with and is able to use Sanrei Shutou (Sanrei Glove) and bow. They may also be trained to use Ransōtengai at anytime. They may also be trained to learn how to shoot arrows of one single element (Fire, Water, Electricity, Wind or Earth). Before they can be promoted to A rank, the Quincy must first remove the glove in battle, and subsequently lose their powers.
  • A ranked Quincy: Must carry and train with a Soushingu (Quincy Bangle) even with its erratic behavior. Also the Quincy may train and learn to use Hirenkyaku.
  • S Ranked Quincy: Instead of using a Soushingu, the Quincy may now learn to use Ginkou (Silver tubes). They are allowed to use Heizen, Gritz and Volcore with Ginkou. After learning these techniques, the Quincy may go through dangerous training with the Bejahrt to regain their Quincy powers. After reviving their powers the Quincy may train to use Seele Schneider and its Ginkou attack Sprenger.
  • Master Quincy - Bejahrt: Only the Bejahrt may hold this position and has completely mastered every aspect of what it is to be a Quincy. The Bejahrt is the only member who may use Reika Gin and Reika Gurasu.

    Rules:

    All the guild rules apply to the Arrancar as well. For more information, go see the rules list in Hueco Mundo.

    Restrictions:

    Only the top three Espada may know all of the Hougyudou and all of the Hollow skills. Members who have just entered the ranks will have to learn them from the Primera, Segundo, and Tercera Espada. All new members start off as Numeros until further notice.

    Pesquisa: (探査回路(ペスキス), Pesukisa; Spanish for "inquiry") is the Arrancar equivalent of the Shinigami ability to sense Spiritual Pressure. It functions similar to sonar.
    Sonído: (響転(ソニード), Sonīdo; Spanish for "sound") is the Arrancar equivalent of the Shinigami flash steps and the Quincy Hirenkyaku; it allows the user to travel at incredibly high speeds for short distances. Use of Sonído is punctuated by a brief static sound, in contrast to the "swish" sound used for flash steps.

    |_Bount Rules and Restrictions_|

    The Bounts (バウント, Baunto) are a group of humans that live by consuming human, plus Shinigami and Quincy souls which potentially increases their abilities. Currently the Bounts in general are only a small tribe of beings from what they once were. Due to their circumstance they are neither affiliated with Soul Society nor the living world, they are pariahs, accepted in neither dimension.


    Rules and Restrictions:

    All guild rules apply to the Bount as well. The Bount Kadaver is the equivalent of Captain. You have to respect him as well. All Bounts start off as a powerless Bount until the Kadaver deems you ready. The use of Bitto is reserved for higher ranked Bounts.



    Bount Abilities and Powers:

    -Natural Abilities::
    Soul Absorption: Bounts normally try to absorb the human's soul after the person dies and is trying to pass on. But they are also capable of taking the soul's of those who are living, to do so kills the human.

    Immortality: By absorbing human souls, a Bount can live forever. When they absorb human souls, they gain eternal life.

    Empowerment: by taking the soul's of living humans Bounts gain unique abilities.

    Dolls: The main difference between a doll and a Zanpakutō is how they operate. Unlike a Zanpakutō, whose personality is generally dormant except when the Shinigami wishes to speak to them, a doll's personality is always dominant. Dolls are self-sufficient when released, though they can easily be resealed. The Bounts' ability to control their doll is largely based on their individual power and relationship with the doll. Moreover, if either the doll or its Bount partner sustains severe damage in a battle, the Bount may lose control over his doll, depending on the amount of damage dealt. If a doll is injured, it will simply return itself to its sealed state. However, should its master be injured, the doll may go berserk and kill its master. A doll may also kill a Bount who is not powerful enough to contain it. Dolls are generally sealed into an object and released as necessary.

    Bitto: The are mosquito-like beings which drain the souls from humans and condense the energy into a purified liquid for the Bounts to drink.
