I'm the 1st violinist in my string quartet, and since we're playing a wedding in about a month, I want to make business cards to hand out to our clients (since it's really embarrassing to write out your contact information on the back of torn sheet music . . . sweatdrop ). For those of you who run professional music-based businesses, what information do I need to put on these cards? I was thinking our quartet name, of course, my phone number, as it is the primary contact number for our quartet, and then putting the names and instruments of our members on the back. Anything else? I want these to look as professional as possible while still being pretty much homemade.

I am not a professional musician, but I've met a lot of pro's who have given me their cards. I guess it's a no brainer to include: name of ensemble, phone, email/website if available, address if available, and name's of members. That's a good thought of noting the instrument. Having a website is the surest way of getting clients, tho. Nothing's better than having a card with a website. I lose cards in a matter of days or weeks, but I'll remember a web address and would refer friends to a website than a phone number. You an also put up video/audio of your peformances as well as lit your repertoire. But I'm sure you already knew that. h no. I'm rambling. I think I'll go now. best of luck =)
