So, to bring about a less political topic, I went out and registered to vote today.

I registered to vote a while ago.

I regestered the dayI turned 18. I also registered for the Draft. If it where possible, i would do it morethan once.

I registered to the draft due to requirement V_V... but I truly am an objector to both the draft, and to murdering people (or being part of a government branch that does.) I can't do it xP

Fight for my country? What for? There's plenty of other democracies where I'm more equal than here. And, why would I sit behind a gun, or be part of one, I can't murder someone and stay sane.

For the moment. Except, given the demographic trends of those democracies, and their immigration rates, in 30 years they're going to be Islamic countries. Guess what Sharia law's stance is on that particular matter upon which you feel you are unequal.

Just to put it out there I would love to fight for my country. The only reason I did not join the military is for other personal reasons that had to stop me. As far as I'm concerened if you will not fight for your country why are you here? This question is for anyone I am not directing it to anyone specific.

I don't have the emotional stability to shoot a gun and kill someone. I don't view people as targets, and I can't get in the mindset to do it. I can support a war, from behind the borders... I just cannot be part of the action

The answer, then, is you can't fight. That's fair enough. But should you direct such venom towards America if the real reason you don't fight comes from within? That does disservice to the people of this nation, some of whom might otherwise be on your side in your particular political cause. Remember, we're not perfect, but we're a hell of a lot better than you would find under Sharia law.
