A smirk crossed my lips as I walked to my girl friend’s house. Cars rushed passed me, their force blowing my clothes as I walked. In my hand, the strand of piano wire connected to two different chunks of wood whipped about as if it were alive. In a blind anger that was fueled by the fact that two demons that ran my lover’s life were trying their best to ruin both my life and hers, I walked on. Little did these demons know that their time was coming to an end. The thought of that made me smile. It was no ordinary smile, oh no—it was one filled with rage and hate.
As I grew closer to her house, I was able to see the one of the two demons standing outside; it was the female one. Just looking at her filled me with anger, and reminded me of how much she tortured my lover and I. Like an animal stalking its prey, I approached the demon. She looked up at me in a confused manner as she said, “I thought I told you that she’s not allowed to see you until I tell you she can! Seeing as you’re here when you’re not supposed to be, I’m going to ground her more. In fact, at this point, I’m considering not letting the two of you see each other anymore.”
As her words circled my head, I felt something inside of me come alive—the thing I feared throughout my whole life. I had locked my anger and hate deep inside myself, to the darkest parts of my very soul, not wanting it to come out, in fear of the demon that would be released and take over my body. As I looked down at the ground, hiding my hateful smile, I then knew that there was something that I must let out.
“You know what? I’ve dealt with you long enough… I think it’s time I rid the world of your existence,” I said, looking up to her. It was then that I saw the fear in her eyes as she had either realized what she had done, or she became aware of what was about to happen to her and her demonic mate. I let out a maniacal laugh and slid forth, grabbing the front of the demon’s shirt. I spoke quietly and sternly to her.
“I’m sorry it had to end this way, but you’ve made me mad for the last time.” I spun the demon around and threw her into a nearby car door. She stood back up, snarling at me, and lunged towards me with her sharp claws. I spun around her, looping the piano wire in my hand around her throat. “Now die!” I shouted, placing my foot between the shoulder blades of her blackish red skin and pulling on the wire. To protect her self, the demon had locked her hands in between the wire and her throat. With a powerful pull on the wire, the fingers were cut off and began cutting into the demon’s throat. I let out a roar as I severed her head and watched her blood spurt out and her head fall, rolling between my feet. I kicked the severed head at the front door, and laughed when I saw the distorted expression of the mate’s face when he saw the demon’s head after coming out to see what was going on.
He went back inside the house and came out with my girlfriend, holding up a knife to her throat. That was the last straw—the demon made me mad enough, and when I saw what he was going to do to my lover, I lost it. I had completely snapped, and moved faster than what the demon thought was possible, taking hold of the knife and him as I moved my girlfriend out of the way. I let out a growl as I threw him into the front yard. As he stood back up, I ran towards him, plunging the knife he dared threaten my lover with into his chest. He looked down, seeing the knife embedded within him, his eyes growing wide. I pulled it out and stabbed him over and over, each thrust being faster than the last. Drenched in his blood, I watched him begin to fall and spun forward, sending a kick into his chest. The force was so powerful that he flew backward in a blur, crushing a car behind him. A fountain of blood rolled down his lifeless body. I went back to my girlfriend and with a sincere smile I said, “It’s okay now,” and wrapped her in a hug. We went to my house and live happily ever after. Never did we have to worry about the demons interfering in our lives again.
