You should check out Good Old Games.

Their prices are amazing, the games are almost all worth purchasing, they're DRM free, the selection is incredible, and the community is terrific.

So, I think this thread should be for you guys to talk about your experiences with Digital Distribution software. What deals have you found, what services do you use?

Those games are all old and I haven't heard of most of them... but I do see some pretty good ones on there.

I think I'll stick with Steam for now. Most of my recently bought games have been bought from Steam, actually.

Why not use both? You can have your cake and eat it too, y'know.

no that would be cheating.

Those prices are sweet, but I have no graphics card at all. :/

Have you SEEN the selection? There's DOS games in there (which, upon downloading, come with DOSBOx and instructions on how to use them). If you can't run them, you fail hard.

No, what I mean to say is I have no graphics driver. I'm not sure what it can render, but I'd rather not waste any money trying.

They offer some games for free download, so that could be a good yardstick.

Now free is within my price range.

I wound up picking up Beneath A Steel Sky.

WHY COULDNT OTHER GAMES AT THIS TIME TALK?!

*ahem*

"When is the Elevator going to be fixed?"
"When we have captured and castrated that SAB!"
"...Really?"
"Until that SAB is caught, this elevator stays inoperable!"

I love the subtle humor in this game.
