Okay...I haven't played a main Sims game since the original. And with the release of Sims 3 and the topic in The Gallery, I'm itching to get this game...once I acquire the proper funds. However, I'm worried my laptop might not run it. I've had problems running games like Star Wars:KotOR and Doom 3, because apparently they keep saying my current video drivers are out of date, when they actually aren't.
So if I spend $50 on Sims 3 and it doesn't run on my laptop, it would be a waste.
So here are my laptop's specs (at least the one's that I think are vital to this situation):
- Windows Vista Service Pack 1
- nVidia GeForce 9600M GT
- Two Intel Core2 Duo CPU Processors T600 @ 2.00 GHz
- 4 GB RAM
My Computer's base rating is 5.0
So, do ya think it'll run on my laptop?

The question isn't "can it" it's why get it?
The sims 2, despite having never played 3, seems to me like the sims game to have. All the architecture is there, and there's already a devoted fan content community on Modthesims.info

My computer is a 3.9 I think, and runs fine. You should be good to go.

So, yeah, I bought Sims 3 some while ago, have a good computer and such, WoW works and whatever, but my ******** video card doesn't let me play it/it freezes/glitches.
