Ugh, sorry I'm a day late in announcing this. Crazy things happened yesterday and I was unable to get on. Perfect timing for that, am I right?
Anyway, thank you very much to everyone who applied! From what I've seen of all of you in (and some, outside) of this guild, I think you would all make wonderful moderators, but I really only need one at the moment. I will keep all of your posts here in mind though if I ever end up needing more help.
So anyway, enough rambling, and time to announce the decision. Chibi Kitsune Warrior, congratulations, you are the new mod. ^^ You've been in this guild about as long as I have (maybe longer? I honestly don't remember), and you are still an active poster. Not only that, but you have been a moderator here in the past, and the only reason you lost that status was because you had no access to a computer for quite a while, but that time is past. However, when you were a moderator, you were a good one, and I was happy to have you. Finally, I've seen you step up to the bat for guild responsibilities that you were in no means obliged to do, and I greatly appreciated those times. So thank you so much for your membership to Kage no Gensou, and I hope you continue to enjoy this guild with your new status! <3
As it stands, I'm the only person with the 'crew' status in this guild. Though I find it strange that I began as a normal member, and escalated to that point, the story of how that happened is pretty long, and I won't bore you all with it.
The real reason I'm posting this thread is because I feel it would be a good idea to have a second moderator. Though there used to be a few secondary moderators, and a vice captain, they are no longer crew members either due to inactivity or personal reasons.
That said, I have found that the guild seems to be pretty smooth to run under my own care, and have not encountered any problems I have been unable to handle as of yet. However, I do feel that it would be a good idea to have a moderator as backup, in case I am swamped with school work or on vacation or something.
The responsibilities of this moderator would be simple: Just keep track of new posts in the forums, make sure none break the rules (honestly, you are all such wonderful people that I rarely find a post that needs to be dealt with for breaking the rules anyway), and keep members under control if a fight or something were to break out. The new moderator would not be responsible for updating the guild, moving threads to the recycle bin, etc., though they would be free to suggest and help with any improvements to the guild they may have in mind. I am quite capable of handling these things on my own time, and wouldn't want to throw my responsibilities at a co-crew member. The new moderator would also not need to keep watch of threads if I am posting regularly, but only if I have not been on for a few days.
So in summary, I am looking for a guild member to step up and be able to keep things under control if I am ever not online for a bit. It really isn't much work at all, but I would still like to hand this position out to be safe. If you are interested in becoming this new moderator, please post so in this thread. I won't make you type out any criteria or anything unless you want to, because really, if you post regularly, I'll know enough about you to know if you'd be good for the job or not (and pretty much you will be if you post regularly to begin with).
I will, however, take into consideration how long people requesting have been members of this guild, how active they have been since they've joined, things they've contributed to the guild in the past, etc. So if you're interested in the job, please post so here! I will be choosing someone two weeks from today (October 10th), so consider that a deadline (unless no one posts a request by then, in which case I will extend the deadline and be quite sad XD;; ). While I certainly haven't been nearly active enough, because I'm forum-shy and people-awkward, I would be beyond happy to help if you need extra eyes and ears and whatnot! I really need to be more active around here either way, though. >3>;;

I'd be interested in the job again, KitsuneChan. ^-^
Right now, I'm the Vice-captain of another guild so I've got more experience than I had last time. xD
Also, I have a lot of free time so I wouldn't mind keeping an eye on the guild during your absences. ^-^

@Kitsune: I think pretty much all the active people and the active-ish people have applied XD (with the exception of Apoc!) That's quite a few persons to choose from 3nodding
@Kitsune (again): Zukaang is a good ship... and that's a very good episode... For the longest time, people believed that Zuko would get a purple dragon out of that golden egg... It was a good theorie, and made a lot of sense... It was also called PDT (Purple Dragon Theorie)... ah, the good old days XD
