Forgotten games of importance.

I find that there is a very real problem with Nintendo games, and only the old fogeys(and young people that cling to the old ways like me) are noticing.
The problem with the Mario, Sonic, and Zelda series is along with the newer ones erasing the glory of the first of those series is it makes everyone forget all the other wonderful, old, and traditional games Nintendo has made.
I think we should rase awareness for those games, because they are truely great and one or two(IMO) are even better than LoZ.

xD I know, but it was great too once. xDDD I guess it was pretty dumb to put- but with all these new 'sonic x, and sonic adventure, and were-hogs, and knight-hogs..' Honestly, I just felt the need to mention him.

Regardless, you're preaching to the choir here. We all follow Nintendo pretty avidly, and those of us who are more indifferent to Nintendo than the others (Myself, Betman, and especially Kuzodav) know our history. We grew up on this stuff.

You're not going to find dissenting opinions here, really.

I've never owned a Wii- NOT every one can afford them.. and I didn't do much research on them. Im not fond of the new things with internet and all that extra crap- I only want the games.

Sonic is not a Nintendo series. It's still SEGA.
So, the problem is that the new games are better?
I would think that would be a good thing. I mean, the VC keeps these old games alive. Of course, I understand you weren't aware of the VC. I mean, I recently bought OoT but, I wouldn't say it's better than Wind Waker for example. The idea is that games DO get better but the old ones haven't been forgotten. Well, I guess that people who don't KNOW about the games... have... "forgotten" them because they wouldn't know they even existed. For instance, they remade Super Mario 64 on the DS, but now we also have Galaxy. So, even the new generation could play SM64, technically.
So yeah, there's my rant.

I have a NES and my neighbor has a super nintendo and I think that we both play the retrogames more than games made past 1995.

I agree with Dancing Dame1993. the new games are good but i've met too many people who haven't ever seen a screenshot of the original Legend of Zelda, SMB, kirby, or kid icarus outside of WarioWare (with 8 and 16-volt).

I dunno.. they just seem.. Weird. I mean, Where do you see the former greatness of sonic in any of these newer games? Sonic is laughed at now, Even I laugh at the new games. I miss the old 2-D platformer with the catchy music done by MJ.
Its not quite so bad with LoZ, but Mario is just getting silly.
