I guess kind of the second part to my Anime Conventions post :p
Have you ever met a voice actor/ess? From any anime or cartoon.
Me? I have... and I have the autographs.
I've met:
-Mary Elizabeth McGlynn (Motoko Kusanagi/The Major on Ghost in the Shell: SAC, Noriko on Fushigi Yuugi, Silent Hill soundtrack...)
-Veronica Taylor (Ash Ketchum)
-Rachel Lillis (Misty, Jessie on Pokemon, also Utena)
-Tom Wayland (World of Narue, others)
-Jamie McGonnigal (World of Narue, others)
-Kevin Smith (Silent Bob. He also was in the new Ninja Turtles movie)
-Petrea Burchard (Yes, I've talked to Ryoko)

I have been to a few conventions, so I have met quite a few voice actors. Some more than once. I have the autographs of a lot of the FMA and Bleach casts, mostly because that's who's been coming to Toronto the last few years. I am particularly happy to have met Wendee Lee and Derek S. Prince, as well as the Japanese actor who played Shin in Cowboy Bebop.

I hated it when they casted new English voices in Tenchi Muyo OVA 3. The worst was the new voice for Ryoko wasn't even similar to her original voice in the First two OVA seasons...

But I liked Tenchi too much not to. After all I endured the worst Tenchi ever (Tenchi In Tokyo) and watched it to the end. So I was more then able to handle some bad voice acting for it wasn't like it had a bad storyline.

But I liked Tenchi too much not to. After all I endured the worst Tenchi ever (Tenchi In Tokyo) and watched it to the end. So I was more then able to handle some bad voice acting for it wasn't like it had a bad storyline. She sounds like Izzy because Mona Marshal did his voice. I admit she wasn't the best suited, but at least she tried. Besides, the way they animated the thing made her voice kind of fit. I mean it was so cartoony in how her movements and mouth moved. How many voice actresses could have pulled it off? They could have went with Barbra Goodson, but she was already Ryoko Balta. Mary Elizabeth McGlynn who does the voice of the major on Ghost in the Shell and Kurenai Sensei on Naruto might have possibly pulled it off. She also played "Hot Ice" Hilda (the one eyes chick) on Outlaw Star. Ryoko deserves someone who can sound gruff when she needs to be, or as sweet as an angel with a luring voice. (post #34)

I always wanted to meet Megumi Hayashibara...she did so many memorable stuff that I watched growing up that she's on my list of people I really wanna meet. Also on that list are Ray Bradbury and Ayumi Hamasaki, among others.

Oh I just found out Tony Jay, the voice of Megabyte form Reboot died 3 years ago crying (post#206: Dunsparce)
