So guys, apparently Nintendo is moving on towards Blu-ray and 1080p (and lower) resolutions.

Thoughts?

Nintendo of France leaked information about Wii "2?" Honestly? And what the hell is Maxconsole.net or www.Logic-sunrise.com? People have been speculating about Wii 2 as soon as Wii came out. I really don't think it'll go Blu-Ray though, isn't that kind of a Sony thing?

I was under the impression Sony had some kind of ownership of Blu-Ray in someway, but I don't think that's the case. So it seems logical that the next Nintendo console would move up to the next disc format, because I can't imagine them releasing another one with DVD.

Well, you have the option to trade your current Wii in to get a cheaper price on the new one.

But apparently it's not coming out until the third quarter next year.

DVD was the offical video standard, when the Wii came out.
