Power Mission confusion

Hey,
I just have a quick question that's been bugging me for a while.

The power mission "Ultimate Sacrifice" nulls all your stats so you can start over...but I took a look at how the overall team score is calculated; since the score takes into account all stat scores, doesn't this mean that doing the Sacrifice missions and lowering your stats will lower the team score? o0
Kind of counter-productive IMO...do the power missions actually DO anything other than give/take money/stats?

I'm...unsure o.o -looks- ok, i think the scoring is based on total, not the individual. like if you fill up your gages to 250 and sacrifice yourself, those 250pts don't go away from the total score. sacrificing yourself just enables you to make more points
