But, she doesn't know who to believe, who to trust, or who to stand by. Should she trust her said-to-be father? Or her infamous body guard? How bout the cute solider with the amazing smile? She doesn't know what to do, espessialy when she is given the Heart of the Bermuda.

“No way!” I breathed as I sprinted up the deck. All around me the ocean spread out, miles and miles to be explored. But, I was here for one reason.
“I cannot believe I am actually here!” I exclaimed as I leaned over the rail. “I’m on the ship, going to the Bermuda Triangle! My life couldn’t get any better!” I sighed and leaned forward onto the railing.
“Please be careful, Miss. Don’t want any tragedies.” He said in his deep, polite tone.
I turned and looked at my body guard. “I can take care of myself.” I snapped back. I did not like that he was here. My parents obviously didn’t trust me well enough to let me go alone. They had to send me with a body guard! But those are my parents; stupid and rich.
“Your parents seem to disagree with that.” He said back, his expression staying expressionless and dull.
“Oh, hush.” I said, and stormed past him. He was going to ruin this whole adventure. And it was because of mom and dad. I huffed a breath and walked back into the suite. A couple seconds later, I heard him close the sliding door behind me. I kept walking.
When I made it to the couch, I sat down and waited for someone to turn on the T.V. A maid ran up and clicked it on. I smiled to her and she nodded back before walking away. My guard sat in the love seat and sighed. “Do you have to follow me everywhere?” I asked him.
“Of course,” Kyte answered smugly. “What kind of body guard who I be if I let anyone touch Miss Deluise.” He leaned back in the chair, looking triumphant.
I let a frustrated sound. “It’s Kylina, not ‘Miss’.” I snapped and turned my attention to the T.V, but my thoughts were elsewhere.
My name, Kylina Christian Deluise, is a popular one. My parents own a big law firm in New York. And that guy over there in the love seat is Kenneth Williams, also known as Kyte. “Whatever you say, Kylee.” He said, smirking.
I rolled my eyes, annoyed. “It’s Kylina to you, Kyte. Not Kylee or Miss.” I glanced over to him, and then turned my attention back to the television. ?
“Then, to you, it’s Mr. Williams.” He snapped slightly, and got up. I watched him out of the corner of my eye until he was around the corner.
For some reason, I felt a little bad. Something told me I should go apologize, but I didn’t know what for. It was only a nudging feeling, after all. I could ignore it, just like I ignored a lot of things. I’ve learned how to handle myself; learned to behave in high society. Even though I do wish I could be the wild child I want to be.
I had a lot of things different about me. For one, when I’m excited or scared, I can fall asleep. I know some kids freak and never sleep, but it comes easily to me, like now. Only twelve hours until we reach the edge of the Bermuda, and I plan on sleeping seven of them.
So, I curled up with against the cozy, fluffy couch and began to doze off. Right before I sank into the deep waters of sleep, I saw a dark, muscular figure cover my body with a blanket.

I wasn’t sure if I was ready to wake up, but I had no choice. The scream of agony pierced my ears and sleep, jostling me up and off the couch.
After the ringing left my ears, it was eerily silent. Something was obviously wrong. What it was, I did not know, but planned on finding out.
So, I got low to the ground and slowly started walking towards the walk on the edge of the ship. When I made it to the glass door, I slid it open carefully. Then, a loud pop of a gun echoed through the silence. I slammed the door, leaving me out of the safety of my room.
Franticly, I tried to get back in, but I had locked myself out. Stupid, I thought to myself, and turned around slowly.
There, not fifty yards from me, was a body. I knew the person was dead for they lay in a pool of blood. I looked away, only to find the gunner closer.
He stood with his back towards me, and what I thought was a gun in his hand. It looked to old fashioned than a gun. I didn’t have a good view of it, though, considering it was rather foggy.
I held my breath, and started walking back. As I walked backwards, I ran into a pillar. Edging my way around it, I tried to get on the other side and out of sight. But, when I cringed into the corner, it was not a corner I cringed into.
A tan, muscular arm wrapped around my waist, and a strong, flexed hand covered my mouth. “Kylee, such.” A whispered voice said urgently.
I felt relief. I knew that voice. It was Kyte, I was safe. I tried to squirm out of his grasp, but he wouldn’t let go. Suddenly, I was facing the wall, and his arms were gone. I turned back around, and gasped.
Kyte stood, arms flexed at his side, back facing me. I could see the rage flowing off his cropped blonde hair as if it were smoke. The guy standing in front of Kyte, he was odd. He wore no shirt, had amazing muscles, his head was crowned in a black, spiky halo, and he had gold eyes.
“Move, Kytenor.” The man said in a husky voice. Then, I realized he was the gunner from earlier. I wondered if the fear I felt was showing on my face.
“Not a chance, Amir.” Kyte said back, and lunged for him.
“Kyte!” I screamed, but didn’t do anything. I just stayed back and watched as Amir fired whatever he was holding.
A long, thin blade shot out of the tube. It looked deadly and glistened in the night, obviously covered in something. Maybe poison. But, Kyte easily dodged it, and went for a right punch to Amir’s face.
Amir grabbed Kyte’s hand and twisted. Kyte let out a low grunt, but threw his arm forward. Amir went flying over Kyte, smashing into the deck. On impact, the boards buckled. I stared in awe at the wreckage. They were so strong it was unimaginable.
“Kyte!” Amir growled as he took a stance. “This boat is sinking as I speak. Keep fighting, and we all go down with It.” his gold gaze found me as he spoke. What for, I didn’t know. But I didn’t like the hidden meaning behind the words.

"Am I pretty?" she asked
"No." he said
"Do you like me?"
"No."
"If i walked away right now, would you cry?"
"No."
The girl couldn't take it anymore. She started to walk away. Before she could, the boy grabbed her hand, and turned her around to look in her eyes.
"You're not pretty, you're beautiful. I don't like you, I love you. And if you were to walk away right now, I wouldn't cry, i would die."
He pulled her closer, and kissed her tears away.
