Its no secret Gaia has been on a steady decline in quality. While it is true Gaia has provided users with great events and promotional stuff in the PAST, Gaia is still rapidly descending into the abyss of greed and corruption. Gaia rather spend time on get rich quick schemes then perfecting the user's experience. One of the strongest pieces of evidence of this is the Monthly Collectibles. The MCs are a prized tradition that has been with the site for almost as long as there's been a site. However, since the introduction of Evolving Items, as well as limited edition gambling items like the Fluff Box and Dark Reflection there has been a huge decline in quality with the MCs. Gaia has their artist and developers focusing more on putting out EIs, evolutions of EIs, Gamble boxes/chest and other crap the Cash Shop shoves out. The MCs have become mediocre and mundane, meanwhile Gaia introduces EIs and Limited Edition gambling Items at the rate lice spreads in a preschool. We've not had a Thank you Letter with 3 items since December 2007, and the choices we do have barely has any poses or look like a whole minute was spent on making them. Even if a few MCS have become valuable successes, it is still a game of hit and misses only there are more misses now.

In the PAST Gaia has done a fairly decent job on events, (ex: Halloween 2008.) However the events have been tedious and monotonous, with most just being slightly altered version of previous ones. During the 2009 Halloween event, Gaia introduced some nice new additions but also failed in other areas. The equation they used to calculate scores was half-a** and poorly thought through. The limited edition skins were lack luster, and Gaia soulbound them making it impossible to sell or trade even though they are just equitable items. Gaia also let numerous errors and uncertainties plaque the whole event. It got to the point where People believed Gaia was playing favorites, and cheating for a chosen side. It took users days after the event to find out which side won when Gaia had to crunch the numbers by hand.

There is also a lack of communication. There has been a Glitch plaguing posts and even whole threads in guilds for days. Gaia hasn't even mentioned a word about it, what caused it and when it will be fixed. There was a Time when Gaia would have made an announcement to give people a polite heads up, but not anymore. Gaia rather not waste their time on quick fixes when they could throw out EIs and stuff like Chests and boxes to get people to spend Cash. Would it really take that much time away from their more financial beneficial endeavors to fix these glitches?

If all that wasn't enough, Gaia has become just one giant ad. Many of you might have notice ads that block you from clicking links, obstruct your view while reading or even hijack you to their site(s). Gaia just sits back and let us be inconvenienced while they get paid by Victoria Secret and other Ads that shouldn't even be on here. Some of the things in the Ads are even Against TOS For example, if you had a link to your Maple Story the Mods get on you. However some of the ads displayed on here are Maple Story and 15 different ads for 15 different other sites that are Gaia's "Competitors." It also seems the more money Gaia makes, the more ads they let onto the site even though the opposite should be true. How long before just casual surfing of the site leads to pornographic solicitation, malware and viruses that risk our safety?

I completely agree with companies being allowed to ad on here with items, and a ad here and there, but not when I get hijacked and can't back click away. I've been Hijacked multiple times this month, mostly by a Meijers (sp?)

I love my Sonic item, But I like not being kidnapped by a food chain or Victoria secret asking for my name age address phone and all the other crap.

Yeah this is agreeable; even though I'm not as active as I was in the past (which is mostly because of gaia's downcline) I can tell stuff isn't happening and quality is dropping where needed. "You can't please all of the people all of the time" aside, they shouldn't digging themselves into a whole like this and they need perspective from the consumer side at this point.

They have a Gaia video contest going, they just announced it! The theme if I am not mistaken is called "Gaia is ___" it's like they want you to tell them what you think in video form! It has to be some kind of sign.
