In the Darkness

As i walk this lonely earth.
I turn to you for comfort.
For a shoulder to lean on, for your arms to warm my skin,
for you love to warm my heart.

I have almost forgotten how to feel this way.
To no longer live in the darkness.
To stay hidden, cold, and unfeeling.
To keep myself from getting hurt.

Now i am no longer alone in my darkness.
I have you now and forever
to hold me, keep me from the cold, and safe.
To love me forever and never leave me alone in the darkness.
